• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi guys, I'm in need of some serious vacation time. Been super busy at work and haven't rode much the last two years. I've been thinking about doing a two week trip late September / early October. I have several options in mind, but I haven't decided yet. I'm hesitating between Route 66 or...

    Statefarm Insurance

Anybody here insured through statefarm? When I first bought my spyder, I was told by my statefarm agent that statefarm did not insure spyders. I thought it was due to lack of credible data on spyder accidents and losses. So I went with Foremost. Now that I had my spyder for a few years, I...

    Motorcycle Study Survey Card

In the mail today, I got a card for a survey through "motorcyclestudy.com". I don't know if I got this because of magazine subcriptions, but anyway I was curious and answered the survey. At one point it got pretty clear that the survey asked questions that could be used in developing new...

Time to Change the Rear Tire

I'm just about to hit 8,500 miles on my spyder and like a lot of other riders I will need to change the rear tire soon. From other treads I've read, I've decided to not buy an OEM tire. I'd like to know what kind of mileage you guys have gotten with a car tire on the rear wheel. If you have...

    News from my Spyder

Well, I talked with one of the service rep at my dealership and they confirmed that I was loosing the DPS from time to time. They called BRP and are waiting instructions on replacing the DPS or the whole steering control components. I don't know how long that's going to take but from what...

    What kind of coolant?

Hi guys, I noticed my spyder running hotter than usual in the last few days, so I checked the coolant level and it is definitely low. Do you buy the BRP stuff or something else? From the owner's manual it is 50% distilled water and 50% antifreeze, so I guess I could mix my own, but wanted...

    My Experience with the Update

Well, I picked up my spyder last night after it got the 6K miles service and the DPS update done. I can definitely say that the spyder steers easier. I almost got me by surprise on the first two turns. So, the steering is much smoother. However, I would like it a little stiffer at highway...

    Parking Brake Bulletin

Can someone point me to the parking brake bulletin? I had parking brake issues and the dealer says that BRP will treat this a wear and not under warranty and I would like to fight it. Thanks.

OK, I won't lie. After putting almost 5K miles on my spyder in 4 months, I kinda figured out that I really like riding and started thinking about adding a two-wheeler in my garage. So, I always wanted a Harley and living in Milwaukee really puts it in your face. I've been to a couple...
