• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Battery question

A few weeks ago I blew out a tire and had the hazzards on for several hours while waiting for a flat deck tow truck to come get me. When I got the bike and new tire the next day, the bike wouldn't start, not a big surprise. I jumped it no problem and rode a short distance. The following day...

riding 2 up with a freedom trailer question

We purchased a new freedom trailer and are out on the second trip with it. On both trips, my wife is complaining that there is a strong smell of exhaust, and she is getting headaches. I, as the rider, don't smell the exhaust. I have looked under the bike and there are no signs of anything broken...

Huge thanks to Proshop Motorsport & Marine

This morning as we leaving Williams Arizona in a torrential rain storm, the bike went into the dreaded "Limp mode". After several calls and one stop at a so called BRP dealer (who doesn't service spyders) in Kingman Arizona, we got the number for Proshop Motor Sports & Marine in Henderson...

    different tire question

I just found a spot on my rear tire that is totally bald. I have read that this has happened to others as well. In reading a lot of tire posts there are only a couple tire brands thown out as replacements. General, kumho etc. So my question is why only those brands, why not Dunlop, Perelli, or...

    Let the farkling begin......

Well the sun finally came out today, so this afternoon I started working on the bike. I decided to start on the easy ones, and just keep taking panels off, and then when I get to the harder ones, the tupperware will already be removed. So today I got the rear turn signal LED's installed. The...

    Dongle and winter storage

For those of us in the great white north, when parking the bike for the winter, do you remove the sm10 dongle, or leave it on your bike? I was just wondering if the battery would be damaged by the cold. It does get down to -30 deg c here in Jan. :yikes: Other than adding Sta-ble to the tank...

    Gas station question (Rant)

Hi all, I have just returned from an 18 day 4000 mile run which included the Norcal rally. Had a great time, except for riding in and through the tornado in Salt lake City last thursday. My question (rant) is this: Why do i need a postal code to use a credit card at a gas pump in the US? I...

    LED's overall question about instal

I was watching a youtube video, and the tech was saying that he has seen a lot of spyders in for DESS issues that were caused by people adding LED's to there bike. If/when a LED fails, the CAN/bus system creates a fault in the DESS, and puts the bike into limp mode. I have seen on here that LOTS...

    Rear speaker controls

When we got the RT-S, my wife tried to turn the volume up on the rear speakers using the controls on her grip. Nothing happened. We had already left on a trip, and when we got back, we asked the salesman about, thinking the controls were not working. He looked through the book ( I had as well)...

removing sena sm 10 from the cradle

As part of a deal, I had the dealer install the sena SM10 dongle (BRP version) in my 2017 RT-S yesterday. Today, I paired it to my 20s (both mine and my wife's) but before I did that I wanted to bring it in the house and see if there was an upgrade on the firmware. I played around all over the...

A week ago Fri I purchased a 2016 RT-S. On sat morning my wife and I set out on a 3037 kms (1887 mile) run through 2 provinces and 2 states. Absolutely love the bike.
