• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No Sport mode for 2022 Rally

In July, I traded my 2019 rally for a 2022 rally. Overall, I’m happy with the improvements made over the initial year’s model; however, something that was a little disappointing was that the 2022 no longer offers the sport mode. I used to live in the sport mode on the original trike, as I...

Brake light - Word of Caution

I was feeling pretty proud of myself the other day when I hooked up an auxiliary LED brake light strip to the max mount. Everything worked - The running tail light, the turn signals and the brake light. I was a happy camper. Then I took it out for a ride. First thing I noticed was that my...

Alignment tip worth reiterating - check your tire pressure!

Just got a 22 Ryker, and the alignment is really pretty good except that I found it wanders a bit in the lane at highway speeds. I immediately jump to the conclusion that I needed laser alignment so I made an appointment. In the meantime, I remembered that I could play around a bit with the air...

Rally Stock Front Tires still looking good!

Several Have complained about the quality of the stock tires. My 2019 Rally:yes: has 40,000 miles on it and the front tires look great. 6 mm left. Certainly good for at least one more season. I’m on my 3rd rear tire.

    Bucket List Trip Report

Just return from a 6,600 mile tour from Indianapolis to the Badlands, Black Hills, and Sturgis. Then, on to the Big Horn mountains and Cody and Chief Joseph Highway as well as Bear Tooth pass. Then over to Missoula, Montana for Lolo Pass and up and back track through Glacier National Park. Then...

    Another touring thread.

Well, do I need to be committed to an insane asylum or just need encouragement? In a week, I begin a 17 day tour of the West starting in Indianapolis and heading to Sturgis then to Seattle then down to San Francisco then to Yosemite then to Lake Tahoe and then backed in Indianapolis - all on a...

Coolant Change - how's it done on a Ryker?

The Ryker does not have a drain plug or hose at the bottom of the radiator. How do you drain the old coolant? Inquiring minds need to know.

So, who said a Ryker can't be a touring machine?

I thought that title would get your attention Here is all you need: 1. A good throttle lock (Atlas) 2. Seat cushion and sheepskin 3. Saddlebags and back supporting pillion bag 4. Cell phone holder for phone w/GPS functions 5. Floorboards Optional: 1.Drink holder See pictures.

    Rear tire replacement time

Well, I have 21,000 miles on my Ryker Rally and it is time to start thinking about rear tire replacement. Any recommendations other than OEM?

    CVT belt life

I got a transmission service warning indicator at 11600 miles. I change the belt myself. It was a little bit of a pain to get the cover off, but other than that, not too terrible. My old belt looked quite good showing little signs of wear despite the fact that I did have a belt overheating issue...

For those of you with an Atlas throttle lock...

Because I care so much for my fellow Ryker ryders, I wanted to pass along this tip. Last summer on a trip from Indianapolis to Moab, Utah, I lost the little clear pad of my Atlas throttle lock rendering the throttle lock useless. As I had thousands of miles yet to go, this was a big problem...

Final drive bearing seal grease leak

I've read a couple of folks have experienced a grease leak from their final drive. I have too. Took tryke in last night and got this problem looked at and warranty claim logged with the BRP. No need to leave the bike at the dealer as it is still very rideable. Now, just waiting for warranty...

    CVT belt life

Stopped in my Can Am dealer last night. Told service rep. that I had replaced my CVT belt at roughly 11,500 miles as the warning message began to stream across my screen. I told him that the old bell looked in great condition to me. His response: If not abused, these belts can last 50,000...

    Exhaust leak

My ryker over the last few weeks has become loud at start up only to quiet down when the engine warmed up after a minute or two. I check the service manual and it said that as part of the 6000 mile service you should tighten the exhaust connections. I didn't do that at the time and now I have...

New fuel filter but now won't start.

Just replaced the fuel filter. Fuel pump is working properly. Turn on and off several times to cycle the fuel pump to prime system. But it will not turn over. Cranks just fine. Just can't get it to turn over. Possibly to much air in the lines? Any suggestions?

    Exhaust leak??

At roughly 11000 miles, I started to notice that the engine is quite loud when I started up cold and then as it warms up, it quiets down to its normal lovely cadence. The loud sound is coming from the area behind the engine air intake area which is where the exhaust header is. Where the...
