• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Tennessee motorcycle license

Can anyone give any insight on Tennessee motorcycle license requirements? The way I read it, you get one class of license for a bike over 150cc's, regardless of two or three wheels. Is that correct? My Illinois class D-M license allows me to drive a car as well as ANY motorcycle, two or three...

    Tennessee dealers

We sold our Mexico Beach, Florida property and just bought a house near Sparta, TN. I have found several dealers in the area from BRP's website. Can anyone tell me anything about any of them? Good, bad or indifferent? My wife and I are REALLY excited about our move! Thanks!

    175-55-15 vrs 165-55-15

Going to get a set of Vredestein Quatrac tires for the front of our RT. It seems that most are getting 175-55-15 instead of the 165-55-15 that is the OEM size. I was wondering what the advantages or reasons were for the bigger size.

Were you in Cedar Key, FL today?

My wife and I were in Cedar Key this afternoon and saw a really nice RT Limited parked on the dock today. Was just wondering if it belonged to a member on here.

    Gel inserts

I ordered two gel inserts from Motorcycle Dave last Sunday and got them installed last night. My wife and I rode a little over a hundred miles today and it was TOTALLY PAIN FREE!!!! Before, the pain would start at about 45-65 miles and would REQUIRE stopping for gas, whether we needed it or...

    Slang from Oz

My wife is going to Australia next month and I told her I could get her speaking like a local if she could just learn some of the slang or expressions commonly used. So how about some help from our friends to the south? Thanks in advance! All help is greatly appreciated! By the way, did I...

    Tire pressure recommendations

I've been trying to find info to support the 18-20 PSI argument for a real car tire on the rear of a Spyder. This is the best I could do. The last sentence is particularly interesting. This is from a pdf file downloaded from www.lehmantrikes.com/assets/docs/uploads/Manuals/techbook-master.pdf...

    Love my Utopia backrest!

Got my new Utopia backrest delivered Saturday morning and I wasted no time getting it installed! The instructions that came with it and the videos on their website were pretty easy to follow without any problems. I had been going over them and familiarizing myself with what had to be done in...

    HID versus LED headlights

Blueknight 911 raised the question of radio reception after installing LED headlights. I have had the same experience with my Spyder as well. I like the brighter light from the LED's but not the loss of radio reception. So, my question is, what has been your experience with HID headlights...

    New plugs and wires.

Got a new set of plugs and wires from Baja Ron on Wednesday. Took the Tupperware off Friday before going to work Friday afternoon so I could work on it Saturday. Well, I knew it would be a pretty big job from the research I had done. That was an understatement! Everything was going fine...

    We got our baby back!

We finally got our Spyder back after being in the shop for just a little over a month. We now have a new stator, flywheel, magneto, voltage regulator and map sensor. Kenda tire question

Yesterday, I got to talk to a guy driving a Slingshot. I was looking at his back tire, which looks to be basically Kenda's wider version of the tire that we have on the back of our Spyders. The tires all looked to be fairly new, so I asked him how many miles he had on it. He said just over...

    Battery Tend

Maybe it's not a good idea to put a Battery Tender on your Spyder after every ride. We're sitting at a Caseys waiting on our son to bring us a new battery to replace the one on our Spyder. We we were riding and got a low battery voltage screen and made it about a mile and a half to the...

    P0107 Code

Getting a P0107 code on our 2013 RT-S, seems to be running OK. What is it and is it something that needs to be fixed right away or can it be postponed for 600-800 miles? Our BEST warranty is good til the middle of July. We were planning on going to Iowa next Tuesday to get our baby squared...
