• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Pics of BRP Comfort Seat with Utopia Back Rest

Utopia now makes back rests for the BRP comfort seat. Because mine was their first, I needed to UPS the comfort seat to them. They indicated that the comfort seat is thicker than the standard seat and therefore needed to make a longer post. They did a great job in matching both the stitching and...

Pictures of KewlMetal 9" Handlebars & Corbin Bags/Trunkbox

Sorry, its taken me so long to upload the pictures a number of you asked about. I'm not a computer Guru...Joan I bought the 9" KewlMetal Handlebars and Console. They give me the rise/pullback I need. The Corbin Saddlebags and Trunkbox hold a substantial amount of gear. I don't need to worry...

    DPS Recall

I just got my Spyder back from the dealer and what a difference this DPS recall made. I've been complaining that the power steering wasn't working right ever since I took delivery of my Spyder...but each time was told that it was operating correctly. And now a year and a half later I'm proven...

Spyder & Accessory Evaluation on 5,000 Mile Trip

RLS and I just returned from our month long motorcycle trip out west(aprox. 5,000 miles). So I'd like comment on the following: Spyder components (temperature gauge, evaporator cannister vent line, fuel line quick disconnect); Evo III Slide Windshield; Motorcycle Cruise Control (Australia)...

Pictures of T-Bags pet carrier w/platform

A number of you have asked about pet carriers. The platform was made out of PVC pipe and it's covered with thin gauge aluminum diamond-plate. The platform allows the seat to raise for refueling without the T-Bags carrier needing to be untied. Typically the carrier would be tied to the...

KewlMetal 9" handlebars & Motorcycle cruise control

I haven't posted in a long time, due to a major case of tendonitis in my right arm. The tendonitis was directly due to the Spyder's ergonomics not being conducive to my small stature (5'2"). But with the help of Mad Matt at KewlMetal that problem's been resolved. We installed a set of 9" bars...

    Road tested Spyder w/Kewlmetal handlebars

Early September I posted a thread and talked about the ergonomic issues I was having with the stock handlebars. E.g. sore hands, wrists, arms, etc. Initially I was opposed to giving up my PE center console. But when the pain gets too great it's time to be realisitc and throw in the towel. Well...

Input from 5' 2" female rider on windshields

It's good to read that I'm not the only female (or small person) out there that had difficulty with their windshield. I'm 5' 2" tall and both of the BRP windshields (original and touring) left me feeling greatly fatigued. At highway speeds the wind buffeting my head, neck, and chest was so...

Example of what helibar will look like.

While I haven't read all the posts on the helibar controversy, here's a link to their website. This link shows a picture of the ST1300 riser. Supposedly, their Spyder riser will be similar to that of the ST1300. I am told that..."The bars themselves will not be adjustable as it will retain the...

    Helibars...

Because of my small stature the handlebars on the Spyder (as well as most motorcycles) ergonomically do not fit me. This causes much stress on tendons, ligaments, and muscles in my upper expremities. So after learning about helibars from BJT today, I gave Heli Modified, Inc. a call and talked to...
