• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rugged Geek ??

I did a search but got no good hits so here's my question. I bought this jump pack several months ago and have never needed to use it. Lucky me I guess. I turn it on and the display shows 100% charged. Now I want to do a trial run so I hook it up to my car per the manual and can't get past...

    2013 Spyder ST

I'm looking at a '13 ST with a friend who is interested. It is a nice upgrade from my 09 GS. One question we have: does the 13 ST have cruise control standard or not? Waiting for some expert to help us. Thanks.

New Battery for my 09 SE5

My Spyder went into service on Jan of 09 and last week the battery died. 12K miles and lots of downtime while we bought and sold houses and moved. I can't complain about 5 yrs +. My choices for battery weren't real great on a Sunday morning. I searched the web a bit and decided to take a...

    A Front Tire Story

Based on the info here about front tires I went to Discount Tire to mount Falken 512's in 185/60-14 on the front of my 09 RS. Set up in front of the OEM's they looked quite a bit bigger. Yikes! We decided to give it a try. I have the optional 6 spoke design wheels. When removing the tire...

    New Style 1" riser

I'm seeing on eBay a riser that is simply a spacer rather than the whole handlebar mounting block. Looks like an easier install and should be just as good. Has anyone seen/tried this? It has a BRP part number. Looks like it will require longer bolts and they don't say if bolts are included...

    Search command quirk

I was searching for forum to find some recent postings about ways to hide a spare key on the Spyder. It turns out that the work 'key' is too common or too short to be included in the search algorithm so it only searches based on the other words you use like 'hidden' or 'spare' etc. How about...

    Do you know Louis Powersports?

Does any one have any experience with Louis Powersports in Greenville TX? They have a couple items for sale on ebay that I'm interested in and have a good ebay rating. They are offering a 36 month BEST warranty for a reasonable price. I missed buying from Bert's (sp?) in March due to...

My 5 x 8 Trailer for the Spyder

There was some interest in my aluminum trailer so I thought I’d post some pics of my setup. That bed is 63” wide and 96” long. That gives me 3 plus inches of free space to guide the front wheels thru when loading. It tows very easily. Since the tailgate/loading ramp is fairly short I need to...

    Another BRP Backrest Question

I've been shopping ebay etc. for a backrest. One seller says his is NOT the adjustable model. I've never heard of that. I do see some differences in some pics though. Some have a black thumbscrew knob on the front of the base and others have the massive black handle at the rear of the...
