• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for info/advice from those who have RT Replacement Shocks...

I am looking for some help and advice from my fellow RT owners who have replaced their original shocks with aftermarket shocks. Note: I have Baja Ron links and sway bar on my '22 RTL. So, before I drop a couple of thousand hard-earned dollars on suspension, here is what I would like to know...

Anyone ever painted an RT-622? Good results? What paint/prep etc?

What would you think about painting a RT-622 trailer? Has anyone here ever tried it? How were the results? Any recommendations on what kind of preparation is necessary? What kind of paint would you use?

Bushtec Turbo II vs RT-622 Maintenance

Hi, I have a 1992 Bushtec Trailer that has served me well. Bushtec requires a certain amount of maintenance, especially the lubrication of suspension points and dealing with tires with tubes. I haven't had any wheel-bearing issues, but, from what I see on various forums, that seems to be a...

Anybody have experience with Can-Am Trailering Cover?

Hi, I have some questions about trailering a Spyder on a flatbed truck or open trailer. I understand that any bike should be transported facing the front of the vehicle. I also see a lot of advice on forums, that you shouldn't cover the Spyder when you open-trailer it. Here are my...

Vehicle Parking Needed Near Glacier Park, MT

Hi, I am planning a trip next summer where I would trailer my Spyder to Montana and ride for a couple of weeks. I want to make a loop through Glacier Park and nearby parts of Canada, Idaho, and Washington. Would anyone know of a place where I could park my pickup truck and trailer near Glacier...

Anyone found a better 2020+ RT Horn Location?

On the 2020 and up RT, the horn is tucked up behind the frunk. There is a panel that has that protects the horn. If you install a replacement horn, it may end up facing the rear of the Spyder (it probably doesn't matter which direction it faces because how the sound can escape is limited)...

    Wiring for Bushtec Trailers

Hi All, I need a wiring expert! I recently purchased a '93 Bushtec Turbo 2 Trailer to tow with my 2016 RT Limited. I'm a little confused about wiring. Bushtec uses a straight 6-pin connector with separate brake and turn signal wiring. Newer Can Am Trailers use 4-pin connectors, so those towing...

    Pulling a Bushtec Trailer

Greetings to all, I'm looking for advice from anyone who pulls a Bushtec trailer. Questions: 1. Are you able to use Bushtec's pin (instead of a ball) coupler? If so, how does it handle? Did you have to do anything special to mount the pin? 2. If you already have Can Am trailer wiring, do you...

Garmin 595 Install on 2016 RT

I purchased a new Garmin 595LT, and would like to take advantage of the Spyder features. I took the Right side panels off and found the power connection and what looks like an audio jack. Are these for the GPS? The cable from the mount breaks out to several cables: 1. Black and Red (fused)...

    Time for New Shocks

Hi All, I have been riding my 2013 STL for about 4 years now. I have put 13,500 miles on it. I'm close to getting new tires, but I'm thinking I will get the shocks replaced also. Here are my questions: Should I do it? If so, what should I get? I see Elka Stage 2 and Fox mentioned. What is...

    I'm thinking about new shocks

Hi All, I have been riding my 2013 STL since 2015. I bought it used with 285 miles on it; now it has 13,000 on it. I replaced the original sway bar with a Baja Ron sway bar. It made a big difference in the handling. I have also had the front end aligned. It rides and handles well, but I'm...

Black Currant Sport Rack and Backrest

I want to show off my latest addition. I've been working on this for a few weeks, and I'm very happy with the results. The Problem: I've been a little concerned about losing my wife off the back of the Spyder; I try to accelerate gently, but I know she is holding on for dear life. The...

    Bluetooth Dongle Question

I have a question for those of you who use the Sena SM10 Dual Stream Bluetooth Transmitter. When you have it on, does it mute your Spyder's speakers? I'm asking because I just installed one on my 2013 STL, and I still get sound from the speakers. I think it's going to be annoying. Is there a...

How to Keep you Wallet Secure

Not for everyone, but . . . If you are into high-tech wallets, here is how I keep my stuff secure while I am riding. I was looking for a solution that did not include the classic trucker/biker look (nothing against truckers or bikers ... all good folks ... but I'm more of a geeky school...

    Top Box

Once again, I am looking at adding to my 2013 STL. This time, it's luggage. I already have the hard Givi saddle bags that came with the Limited package. When I bought the Spyder last year, my wife and I bought matching helmets and when riding. A lot. Now we are considering longer trips and would...

Advice Needed: Aftermarket Seats on STL

I am posting this in the ST forum because I am looking for some advice that is specific to my 2013 STL. Last week I received my new Midrider Ultimate seat. It puts me closer to the front, but it is the longest reach that Ultimate offers. It may not be a problem for most people, but now that I...

    Recommendation for a new horn

Hi, Let's say someone (like me) wanted to put a really loud horn on a 2013 ST Limited to replace the rather wimpy stock horn. Where would you put it? Here are some relate thoughts: :helpsmilie::helpsmilie: 1. The stock horn is in a very tight space. I have already replaced it with a lower tone...

    Sena Remote

Is anybody using the Sena Handlebar Remote? If so, what is your opinion of it? How useful is it? How good is it? I'm considering a Sena 20S, and I'm wondering if the remote would be a good option.

    Sway bar and links

Hi All, In August 2015 I purchased a used 2013 STL with 185 miles on it. Totally stock. I put 3000 miles on in the fall and winter. Now that I have spent some time with it in a variety of riding conditions, I am considering some upgrades. Please keep in mind that my questions are from a guy who...
