• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I admit I am being lazy...;) Where can I buy exhaust springs - you know the springs that retain joints, slip ons, etc? Thanks, Pete

    ISCI Feedback

Got the dual exhaust done - WOW. Put the ESI 3" risers on (I had the 1" BRP) and all I can say is WOW WOW. Now it's time for floorboards and passenger "footrest" relocation and hopefully WOW WOW WOW. I know about the cost of the ISCI stuff but I also know about the quality so that's not part...

Killin' time waitin' on the 2010 Spyder...

While you, we, us wait for the 2010 Spyder you can waste some time looking at the new 2010 Harley's on their website. http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Content/Pages/home.html Check out the new Street-Glide based trike. Pete

    Clearing a CEL

I'll post a longer more detailed writeup on my dual setup based on parts I bought from Evoluzione later on. The local shop doing the work finished up today and even after doing the battery disconnect and Ken's O2 Sensor and high flow filter the Spyder has a CEL. Runs good in limited testing...

    Suggestions for second shift arm

Latest science project under consideration is to add an electric shift - Pingel or more likely Kliktronic - to the SM5. I know Pingel has a Spyder specific kit, but I want to hide the unit like mike3069 has (it's a Kliktronic) on his Spyder. But I want to keep the stock shift arm placed as is...

    NMN: BRP Adjustable Backrest

Attached pic is an old - looks like preproduction - BRP (adjustable) backrest best I could find, but it will serve the purpose for the Q. Looking from the back... See that kind of oval shaped space? Think you could fill that in with combo tail light and brake light and if really creative...

    Breather hose size...

Sorry for the wasted bandwidth, but I did not want to break the use-once clamp on the breather hose to get a measurement - and I don't expect you too either :D. What is the inside/outside diameter of that hose? I plan to rig up a catch can like many have. Thanks, Pete

    With apologies to Superman...

    Look, over there, it's a bird, it's a plane, no it's - :cus: is it? http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2009-04-06-puma-segway-gm_N.htm

    Windshields and yardsticks

Got my 2009 Full Moon SM5 - finally - yesterday. Among other things got the 1" BRP riser. I am 6' 0" with a 33" inseam and 34" sleeve length so the BRP 1" riser works just fine for me. Need some leg relief, but that's available (various) and/or coming (ISCI). Want a larger - taller -...

    ISCI Update?

    Mufflers...

I may be overly concerned about warrantly regarding aftermarket mufflers and I realize by law that cause-and-effect must be proven by BRP if muffler replacement leads to, say, engine problems. And while I realize there are intakes, fuel mananagement add-ons, and O2 eliminators to make things...

    Another leaper...

Well..you can only analyze - the emphasis on anal - something so long. Bought a 2009 Full Moon SM5 this afternoon. It has to be fished out of the wharehouse and some add-ons installed - and my check clear. Middle of next week - hopefully. I really liked the SE5 - rode the SE5 and SM5 too...

    SM5 Shift Arm angle

I notice that the SM5 foot shift arm-peg is attached to a splined shaft. No surprise there. But can the arm be rotated (down) bit on the spline or is it keyed to a set position? Still noodling ways to drop the stock driver pegs more straight down instead of footboards, etc. Thanks...

    Yet Another Test Drive Report...

No one is likley to learn anything new from "my" test drives today - well maybe one thing - at the BRP Coprorate Event at Riva Motorsports in Pompano Beach, FL. Got to to drive an SE5 as well as an SM5 and no problems with either especially the SE5 - and I did try to do most of the things...

    Corbin Pacific for Sale?

Picked this up at a Harley site while I continue to contemplate 30K for a TriGlide versus 20K (including (Corbin) mods) for an SE5 in light of the sensor gremlins. http://www.bizben.com/listings/138412.php But anyway...does anyone know more? Not necessarily a bad thing if true... Pete
