• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A perhaps foolish question on towing a Sea-Doo

I have a 2014 RT with 33k miles and recently moved to Lake County in Central Florida. On a bit of a whim I had a tow package installed. The thought was maybe camping in a motorcycle pop-up camper (now less likely) or perhaps a Freedom Trailer to allow touring with my lady who simply needs to...

What benefits from Ethanol Free fuel & other questions?

I am not tech motor savvy but enjoy riding my 2014 RT. I recently moved to Central Florida and found a local station that offers an Ethanol Free option. I had long heard that this fuel was far superior to other options but do not now the technical reason. So I started buying E-Free fuel...

Looking for Central Florida roads - any recommendations?

I have recently moved to Central Florida from New York. I am near Leesburg which is roughly halfway between Orlando and Ocala. I know I won't find roads like upstate New York or my beloved Blue Ridge Parkway, but have found some decent roads through the Ocala National Forest. Running out of...

A saddle bag, trunk lid and Tupperware saga

I have a 2014 Spyder RT Limited. I am not much of a mechanic but have an issue and a problem. I am currently in Richmond VA getting ready for a Blue Ridge Parkway adventure. Unfortunately all the service departments locally are booked up for weeks to come and will not see me in the next two...

    ARDEN VALLEY ROAD RE-OPENED!

There is a short stretch of a lovely road with great twists and wonderful scenery in Harriman State Park in New York called Arden Valley Road. It is closed between December 1 and April 1 to keep the park from having to keep it clear of snow. Today, cold, light snow on the ground, it was...

    ATWATT

I have a new acronym: All Three Wheels All The Time I am now the proud owner of another three wheel vehicle - a 2016 Piaggio MP3 500 ABS/ASR. Pretty cool and I am just now getting used to all the features and quirks of this new scooter. It is obviously different from the Spyder in that it...

    Little Bit Chilly Finger Ride

I really enjoy winter riding and this is the first winter with my Spyder. So far I don't even need to turn on the heated grips. Went on a nice Christmas Day ride and there were lots of other bikes on the road, unusual for this time of year because in the New York/New Jersey has no snow and...

New 2 GoPro - Where to mount?

Got a new GoPro Silver recently. Played with only slightly. Mounted it to my helmet but the resulting video showed all my head turning to check traffic, which I do as a safe rider which made the video slightly disorienting. So to all who have GoPro or similar device - I want to capture the...

Set to begin my first Epic Spyder Journey

I have taken several long road trips on previous two wheel devices and am about to embark on my first epic trip on the new 2014 RT SE6. (Did short jaunts from NYC to the Adirondacks and another to Maine to break it in and get up to the first service.) I write stage plays (as a hobby, need my...

Tried EZ-Pass in Frunk without success

I have had my 2014 RT for a couple of months and had a tussle with the EZ-Pass people here who are canceling motorcycle tags as they were being abused by cagers. I had to supply registrations for my two bikes and they still took their sweet time about issuing new ones. Just got them and...

    Antenna Missing? Snapped off?

Arrived in the Adirondacks on a weekend trip and while unpacking the 2014 RT realized the antenna was missing. Looks like it was snapped clean off near the base. Now, this is not part of my pre-ride check, but I would have noticed if it was not there while packing it up because I am standing...

    First Time Without a Helmet

From the first time I went on two wheels I have been ATGATT follower, full face helmet, riding jacket with Kevlar panels. Bought a 2014 RT S SE6 about a month ago in New Jersey and breaking it in as I prepare for an epic long ride this fall. Really having a good time. Already I have shed the...

    Silly Question - Spirit Bell?

Newbie Spyder owner back with another pesky question (I have 2014 RT S SE6 Cognac, working on getting pix and data into a new profile and getting paid status - patience, I can be slow!) My girlfriend has given me the gift of a spirit bell and insists I mount it on the new Spyder (I had a low...

    Top Box Chrome Luggage Rack

New Spyder Ryder looking for input on the racks I have seen for the top box. Is this OEM or third party? What are the best brands if third party? If third party is this advisable to add to increase capacity? What would the max capacity? Would this in any way damage the top box cover? Many...

Spyder is a Love Child of...

Still breaking in my brand new RT-S SE6 and having a blast. In trying to describe it to friends I tell them it is like a fast snowmobile on asphalt but many have never been on a snowmobile (me either but I read that description somewhere). It occurs to me that if I could tell them it is a...

    More spare key chatter

I've seen several good ideas on taping or securing the "valet" key (without the chips) in places from your wallet to spots on the bike (recently the glove box or behind the mirror - good idea!). All for emergency access to a hidden working key elsewhere on the Spyder. I am gearing up for a...

    Two things I cannot find

I have a new RT-S (for about a week) and cannot find the tool kit I am told should be under the seat. Where should I be looking? Also, I have NY EZ Pass and went online to change the vehicle associated with the device from the motorcycle I traded in to my new ride. But I do not find BRP or...

    RAM MOUNTS for 2014 Spyder

I traded in a Victory Vision for my 2014 RT-S. On the Victory I used two Ram Mounts quite successfully (one for water bottle, one for iPhone that I sometimes used for EZ Pass). There are not screw in locations for the Ram Mounts on the handlebars of the Spyder. A quick check of the Ram Mount...
