• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    helmet intercom

Sarah and I just want to be able to talk easily. We wear shorty helmets. I do not want to buy new helmets or spend $500 just to have intercom.

    Lamonster pipe baffle

I installed the pipe without the included baffle thinking that if the pipe was too noisy that I could always install it later. We like the sound and improved torque. There were no instruction or tech data shipped with the pipe and I wonder if the engine needs that baffle to breath properly...

    Riding mountain roads

I routinely ride curvy WV mountain roads and I worry about losing the Spyder's only brake while descending, especially with the trailer on. I wonder what effect engaging the electric brake would have? Not good I think. I used to do hand brake turns and front end throws in a car, but don't...

    New pipe change Torque

I put the Lamonster pipe on my RTs today and the bike seems to have more power. Small increase in exhaust noise but not really a lot. Got a little wheel spin when I hit it hard. Never noticed that before. We'll take a longer ride tomorrow to really judge the sound.

    Mounting the Lemonester pipe

I got the replacement pipe today. Someone want to give me the steps for removing the old and mounting the new. I am a welder and I appreciate the quality of the fab and TIG work on this pipe. I guess this is a pretty easy job but I 'd like to hear from someone that has done it. I have some...

    taking Trailer for a ride

Going for a test as soon as I finish this. The 3 water proof boxes fit perfect. Still have not wired the trailer harness on the bike. OK it pulled great. I've got a loud rattle on a rough road. Every thing is tight. I think it is the slipper springs. I hate those things.

    Helmet radios

We are thinking of getting radios to make talking easier. Any suggestions? Are there any that can be powered by the bike. How are they attached? I know nothing about doing this.

    feeling unstable

We had a great ride yesterday! But I have to admit that I still feel some uneasiness when cornering with the Spyder. I'm much more secure on my 2 wheeler Shadow in the corners. I've ridden the Spyder enough now that I would hope that this feeling would have gone away. I end up cornering way...

    Hand Brake

I think I will start work on designing a hand brake for my RTs. I had talked about this right after I bought the bike. Is there anything already on the market that I can look at? No need to re-invent the wheel.

    muffler

I just ordered the Lemonster replacement pipe for my 2014 RTs. It comes with a baffle that may or may not be inserted. I don't want a really "Harley" loud bike. What will I get with it out? I guess I will just have to try it and see. I'll try with it out first. Just thought I would ask...

    make it sound better

Is there an easy way to make the RTs sound more like a cycle without spending a lot of money on a whole new exhaust system? I don't like really loud bikes but this RT sounds like a Singer sewing machine! I'm sure many owners have dealt with this.

    My homebuilt trailer

Here is my home built trailer. I have just over $600 in the material. 48" x 40" ply box on an Al trailer. I have 3 water proof box that are a good fit. It's kind of crude but good for the cost.

    Trailer light wirring

I plan to attempt the trailer wiring job today. Wish me luck! The trailer is done. It is an AL 40"x 48" bed size with a basic plywood box. Not fancy but it will carry a lot. Anxious about how it tows. I'v built 100s of trailers but never one for a cycle.

    Best tire replacement

I will wear out the original tires the summer and I want to get a new set on hand. There is probably a thread on what the best replacement is. Any opinions? My bike is an RTS.

    modifying the 2014 muffler?

Has anyone tried modifying the stock muffler to reduce back pressure and make it sound like a real motorcycle. ;) I was about ready to pull the back off and see what can be done. This may require a re-jetting tho' Looking for info from anyone that's done it.
