• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 RT-S 'heat' recall complete, & damage to left panel next to new intake...

Overall, I'm known as a very happy Spyder owner - 7 years+ and counting, with about 93,000 miles logged. Got my Spyder back last Wednesday with the recall work and other work completed. I'm digging the new air scoops! It runs great, and I'm waiting to experience a little better mileage, as...

I want to say, Congratulations to all of you new 2014 RT owners!!

:) As some of you know, I traded my 2011 RS-S in for a 2013 RT-S in Circuit Yellow Metallic last July. I've put 6,500 miles on it so far. But; yeah... as we all know (especially those of you that live further north of me), winter hasn't been too kind to us so far! Lol! Anyway; I've heard...

Scratched right panel around bolt head this morning..

The panel did not appear to be tight - very loose fitting near the joint where the 2 panels overlap. I applied the torx to it lightly, and I could tell it wasn't very tight. But, the bolt would not grab it seemed. I backed out. Nothing. Like the bolt is just sitting in there, but, I wasn't able...

    From a stoplight; RT-S vs. HD Tri-Glide....

Yesterday, we met up with some friends to cruise for a late breakfast and a run to Sardis Lake in north MS. Lots of great backroad riding in that area! She rides a 2010 RT Limited. Her husband recently traded a Yamaha Royal Star for a Tri-Glide. It's really nice, too! So; out east on Hwy. 302...

Over 1,200 miles in the first 3 weeks.. My new RT-S is the finest machine..

.. that I have ever owned - car or bike! And; that's just what I told my dealer yesterday. I'm really glad I owned the '08 GS, '11 RS-S first, though. They were both wonderful Spyders. But; this RT-S is something else! Three things really come to mind when I think about buying it. And...

600 mile service.. How much past 600 did you go for your first service?

Looks like I will be a bit over 1,000 miles before I get my RT-S in for the initial service. On my first 2 Spyders, I took them in at around 650-700 miles, I think. I've been waiting for my other gear to show up for install, and my GPS. So; a little mileage got away from me this time.

Traded my '11 RS-S last Friday for a '13 RT-S in Circuit Yellow Metallic. Love it!!

I put 32,800 miles on my 2008 GS, & 31,230 miles on my RS-S. Wonderful Spyders!! Both of them!! I'll post photos tomorrow of my new RT-S (SE5) when I get to my PC. :) Many options are on order right now. I'm wondering if I need the Tri Axial Handlebar. I'm 6' 4". I really don't need to...

Replacing burned out headlight on my RS-S... But, maybe not! How...?

I saw some other posts about removing the top section of the instrument housing. But, the photos are no longer viewable. And, I don't want to start experimenting. I removed my windshield, instrument cluster. But, there is no way I can get my hand in that headlight housing. Any tips are...

After about 62,000 miles on 2 different GS/RS-S, an RT-S is in the future!

Honestly, I didn't think I would ever really be interested in buying an RT. But; when we decided to trade in November, I decided to not only consider the new ST-S; but, glance more closely at an RT model. ;) My riding impressions are posted in the General Discussion forum here. I'm...

Possibly selling my RS-S, and buying an ST or RT in November, and my thoughts ...

Hi everyone! Having first owned a 2008 GS since Sept. 2008, and now a 2011 RS-S since May 2011, I have logged over 61,000 miles. I am planning on selling or trading my RS-S in November, and buying either one of the STs or RT-S. I am even thinking about going with the SE5 transmission this next...

reverse quit working today.. just out of shop yesterday ..

.. after getting oil change, new rear tire. 22,800 miles. Back to the shop next week. But, there is riding to be done this weekend. I was always a bit suspect about the Spyder's reverse lever. After over 55, 500 miles of riding Spyders, this is a first. The lever is loose. Apparently, the...

Headlights: Other than HID lamps, is there another 'bright' bulb option?

I know about the $400 HIDs. And, of course, the $1200 BRP HIDs (no way, I'm spending that). But, are there some replacement lamps for a fraction of even $400, that are an improvement over the stock lamps? Thanks!

New back tire installed,, rim scratched. Black rims.. Should have known!

Oh yeah! 10,800 miles. Took it in for rear tire & oil change, service,,,. Perfect! Thinking on the way home tonight, I'll have a look at the back wheel. Sure as H$ll! There are scratches around the edge of the rim. Well! Guess, that's what you get with the RS-S. Will anyone else notice...

Street Magic SPX15 Performance Exhaust owners.. How do you like it? Getting louder?

I have been thinking more lately about getting a new pipe for my RS-S. And, besides a Hindle, and the Two Brothers, this one got my attention. From the sound clip, I like it. But, I’m wondering how it is on the road. Is it just too loud, or pleasant? I always liked the sound of the Hindle on my...

LEDs from Street Magic - Day Runners, maybe LEDs for my Givi bags instead of.. ... Using the turn signal stalks. I would love input from any of you that have installed the LED kits in your Givi bags. And, also if you added the modules to make those lights as running lights, as well. I installed...

Spyder RS-S Magnesium/Steel Black - passenger foot peg extensions..

Hi Everyone! We will be adding the footpeg extensions to our new RS-S. And, I am wondering if the 'black' extensions listed are the correct shade for my RS-S. Or; is there a special 'steel black' color for the RS-S?

    Traded my '08 GS yesterday for a 2011 RS-S in Magnesium/Black..

With nearly 33,000 miles, I really wasn't sure I could (or they could) make it work. :) On order is the backrest system, Givi Bags, 12 volt plug. I get to keep my Hindle, trunk liner, and they already mounted my Throttlemeister's. And, I am going to go ahead and have them add the 1" riser block...

32,800 miles.. First sign of a problem: think it's a bearing..

I feel I have been very fortunate over the past 29 months to have never had any issues (except for blown exhaust gaskets ;)). I love my Spyder! Over the past week, I had began noticing a noise, and feeling in the footpegs when decelerating, beginning around 50 mph. No issues accelerating...

Lower suspension white LED strips! Very cool! What brand are you guys using?

I saw a few Spyders on our trip east in September with these; mounted on the front leading edge of the lower suspension. And, how is the install?
