• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Probably should be ashamed

Changed the oil in the F3 this weekend. Got a kick out of the two different drain plugs. The one on the left with the sealing washer and two O-rings, weird plug! Ashamed because I purchased the F3 just over a year ago and just got 3,000 miles on it! Problem is that my '13 Road Glide seams to be...

    Santa got me cruise contol!

Got the right hand switch assembly for Christmas. Got it installed yesterday and went for a ride today. Works GREAT! Hate to rub it in for some of ya, but, was out riding today in jeans and T-shirt. Crazy weather even for Georgia.:2thumbs:

    New "floor boards" installed

Had these same pegs on my '08 GS on the highway pegs. Decided that I would use them on the F3 and very happy with them. Used the original peg mounts and did some "garage machine work" to mount them. Extended the shifter peg and will probably extend the brake pedal pad also. Got a few hundred...

Put some additional tail lights on the F3

Had some LEDs from my son's Honda 1000 and a set of 8" C.D. Plasma Rods that were going on the wife's '14 StreetGlide. Had all day to kill while waiting for the 20" Madstad to show up (out for delivery at 08:00 and he pulled up in front of the house at 19:05!). The Honda tail light are now being...

My brand new F3 has a bloody nose

Sort of. Had it on my trailer and didn't tie it down correctly. The point on the nose, just above the intake grill, rubbed on the fold-up ramp. Didn't find it until I got home and boy, was I pi$$ed. The ramp acted like a cheese grater and scraped the point off. Didn't crack the plastic. Has...

    Do '08 GS parts fit a '15 F3?

Why, of course they do! After a lot of modification! Saw Lamonster's additional foot peg and liked the idea. Remembered that I still had the passenger foot peg brackets from my '08 GS and after some garage machine work, I now have the BRP version. Bolted it on with three 6 mm allen head bolts...

    Gone to the Dark Side

Well folks, Have been the proud owner of the '08 GS for over 4 years, made lots of mods, went on lots of great rides, met lots of folks (still got questions at gas stations, etc.), but, it was time for a change. Traded it on Saturday (got Blue Book $8300.00) for a 2013 Road Glide Custom. Haven't...

    Honda mid-pipe gaskets

I didn't go back and search out who originally had researched these, but, I want to personally thank you. Have installed sets on two friend's GSs. Compared to the newspaper ones that BRP uses, the Honda replacements are 1000% better. It is always the right side. Side note; found out...

New Years Day ride, 3 GS's, and a Check Engine light

I ride with the Southern Cruisers. We did our anual ride today, perfect weather, about 76 degrees and sunshine. Anyway, three of us :spyder2: owners pulled out at the back of the pack of 33 bikes and were waiting for the light to change. Friend pulled up next to me and said that her "check...

    Spyder on Cash Cab today

Was watching Cash Cab on the Discovery Channel, 6:30-7:00. Saw a Full Moon go by on the right side. Not sure when the segment was shot, but, I think it was a new one. Somebody was famous for about 5 seconds!

    Getting a Russell Day-Long

Sent the seat off to The folks in Cali. Got a build date of 05/09. They said that I should get it back around the end of May. That's what I get for waiting too long to decide!:( Rode it from one garage to the other. Sitting on the frame ain't too comfortable. Told the wife that I either had to...

    Cable hand brake

Just wondering. I am still using my cable hand brake (have steped on the foot brake maybe 30 times in the last two + years) and was wondering how many others are still using it. I know that lamonster has switched to the ISCI unit, but, for me it was too much money and I can't complain about the...

Found a new use for the Lamont cable hand brake!

Was riding back from Savannah, GA yesterday with the SCRC group. About 100 miles from home, pulled out on the road on my M109r, shifted from first to second, and POW, clutch cable brakes! My older son was riding the :spyder2:. Rolled the 109 over to a parking lot and with the help (and wise...

    Thrush Glass Pak

Well, I just couldn't bring myself to spend $300.00+ for a "muffler". Bought a 2.5inch 90, got it stretched to fit the stock Y pipe, bought a Thrush Glass Pak, modifying the exhaust end to look more like a motorcycle muffler, making a mild steel hanger, and paint the whole thing black. Stuck the...

    Third update for the GS

Took the :spyder2:in today for an intermittant check engine light. I was getting this after I had the first update and the "update to the update". Dealer said that it was the 02 sensor and would have to order it. The other thig that they said was that there is a new update that came out on...

    Curious/Idle minds want to know

Not exactly a poll, but. 1. How old is your GS? 2. How many miles ya got? 3. Still have the stock battery? 4. If not, what did you replace it with? ( Does sound like a poll )

    Two Brothers Duals

Stoped by a dealer in Danville, VA today to buy an oil filter and related parts. They had a :spyder:sitting outside with the 2 Bros. dual with no baffles. Asked the guy if I could hear it, went outside and started it up, and, :yikes::yikes:. Started mine up a while back without the muffler...

    Passenger Handles

Hello to all, I hope I'm in the right forum. My spyder is only used by me, no passenger. The wife has her own ride. I am entertaining the idea of removing the handles. I did a search and came up empty. I know that they are part of the main support for the seat/rear bodywork. I recall seeing a...
