• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

Has anyone experienced a hard to crank (turn engine over on starter). The problem is the worst when the engine is warm. If I sit and let it idle to where the fan comes on it occasionally will not crank at all. I initially thought it was the battery as it was more than three years old, so I...

    Tire Pressure thoughts

Last Friday I went to check my tire pressures on my 2015 Rt. I do not do it as often as I should so decided to check on Spyderlovers for correct pressures. There are almost as many opinions as there are posts. While I do not consider myself any kind of an expert, I have come to the conclusion...

    Pictures

I see all of the posts with pictures of the person writing as well as their Spyders. I can not figure out how to add any pictures. Obviously it can not be too complex as some individuals change theirs periodically. It is simply my old mind can not figure it out.

    HEAD LIGHTS

I have seen post on here referring to overdriving the headlights on Rt's. I wonder has anyone put driving lights on the front fenders? Possibly too heavy or too much shake. I am curious though. If possible, they could also be effective as turning lights. Lights not turn signals.

    RAINGEAR

Back in October I attended a motorcycle show in Orlando, Fl. While there I saw a new and unique rain suit design. If any of you have ever stood in a downpour trying to get you rain pants over a set of boots, you might want to take a look at this new design. Yes I know about plastic bags over...

    Slight Clutch Drag

I have a 2015 RtSe. When I come to a full stop such as at a stoplight, my RT has a very slight forward creep. Of course it is in 1st gear. The idle speed moves between 800 and 900 RPM. This occurs on level ground or even with a very slight incline. Is this a common situation or do I need to...

    MEMORIES

Recently my 22 year old grand daughter visited my wife and I here in Central Florida. She had never had a ride on a motorcycle of any type, so I gave her, her first motorcycle ride on my Spyder Rt. While out, we got caught in one of our central Florida heavy rainstorms. As we were on...

    Hot Handlebars

I have a 2015RTS. When I ride the handle bar covers as well as the key get very hot. The outside ambient temp varies between 80degrees F and the high 90s, The variation in ambient temp does not seem to affect the handlebar temp. No the hand grip heat is not on, but the covers and key feel as...

    Push, Don't Pull

Prior to purchasing my Spyder I had been reading Spyderlovers for some time. As I have stated previously it has been very helpful. One of the items I read said that when turning the Spyder, push the handlebar opposite the direction of the turn rather than pulling the one from the direction of...

    FINALLY

Today my wife and I became the owners of a new 2015 RTs SE. My first Spyder.I have wanted to do this for a long time and today was the day. I rode on 2 wheels for many years and quit totally in the late 90's. Maybe it was good, as so far I have not felt the difficulty I hear which some have...

    RT Twin heat problems

As I have read old posts I have read many posts regarding engine heating problems on the V twin RT Spyders. Was this a problem on all V twin Rt's or only certain years?

    F3T Seat Comfort

I test rode an F3 a year ago with the up graded seat. (8 Ball?) Found it quite comfortable, but of course I was only on the front and the ride was less than one hour. I am mainly wondering how comfortable the seat on the stock F3T is? I could live with the stock non upgraded front...

    Differences RS and ST

This question may sound dumb to those with the knowledge, but not for a wannbe. I see the similarities between the ST and the RS, Same frame, same engine, same tires. I have read that the seat is even interchangeable. To me it looks as if most differences are cosmetic, but the price is quite...

    Bike Week Demo Rides

I am a Spyder owner wannabe. For this reason i took the opportunity to test ride both the ST SE5 LTD and anF3 S. I thought that the F3 with the new Cannonball seat would be a bike I would love. It is a sweet bike in many respects, but not for me. When riding the riders legs must be spread...

    Cannonball Seat

Has anyone seen or better yet utilized the Cannonball seat that is shown as an option for the F3? My wife has had a surgery which makes seating comfort an extremely high priority. I had a Corbin on a Goldwing many years ago and found it very comparable to an oak plank, This was on a new 1977...
