• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How to calibrate your speedometer to agree with your GPS speed

How to calibrate your Spyders speedometer to read the same as your gps speed. You need BRP BUDS with a Megatech license in order to perform this calibration procedure. This worked on our 2015 Spyder but have not tried in on other models. https://youtu.be/QxUfciTfEO4

What Mileage Are you Changing Your Oil?

Have 3,200 miles on the oil change done by the dealer. I have to admit, always changed oil at 3,000 miles be it car or bike. With synthetic, let my wife's car go to 6,000 miles. I am not willing to let the BRP oil go as long as the manual recommends, especially since it is a synthetic blend...

ACS Compressor lasts only 6,300 miles?

2015 RTL 6,300 miles and dealer confirmed compressor is bad. How long do these usually last? I can tell you it sucks at night when it doesn't work, my low beam headlights were in the trees and every single cage was flashing me on the way home. Had no way to fill it manually, only take the...

Is this normal for a front Pulley/Sprocket?

Swapped out the BRP idler for Doc's idler and noticed this today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aP9JX20dog8&feature=youtu.be The bolt that retains the front pulley/sprocket is not running true. The bolt is tight and the pulley does not appear to have excessive run out , but does have some. I...

    Replacing windshield arm

Hello Spyder Friends, Meg and I are heading to Valcourt this year, as many of you are. And we hope to meet many of you there. I am the type that is always concerned about what issues with the Spyder can ruin a trip like this. Our Spyder has been flawless and has never let us down, but doo doo...

Doc Humphreys RT BELT VIBRATION DAMPER KIT

Hello Spyder Friends, I have been putting up with that annoying belt vibration for almost 2 years. A smoothspyder did not help at all, just made it occur at a higher speed, same with tightening the belt. I know some do not get the vibration, but with us always riding 2 up we got it between...

What I did to my Spyder today

Hello Spyder Friends, Yesterday and Today Meg and I installed some additional led lighting and Spyder decals by Lamonster. I think they look great together and Meg always disliked the boring BRP badge. The front and rear Lamonster Spyder decals are surrounded by TricLED Arc reactor on the frunk...

    Anyone see this issue yet?

Was installing some Farkles today and noticed this. :( Appears to be leaking where the water pump joins the motor. Found one screw slightly loose, unable to get to the screw behind the hose to try that one. Did have to add some coolant last season. Cleaned the area up and will monitor it...

    SpyderQuest from NJ

Hello all, Leaving from NJ heading to SpyderQuest on the Parkway, it appears there is 2 ways to get to I87. One is to take RT 17 north (shortest) or continue up the parkway to 287 (longer). I am not concerned about distance, want to avoid traffic and get there the quickest. Hopefully some of...

Hello All, Just a short video Meg and took while riding through the pines off of RT 542 near Batsto NJ. Used a bracket mounted to dash and not really happy with the vibration in the video. Calling all 2014-2015 RT owners with "Belt Vibration"

Hello all, With close to 2,000 miles on my Spyder, I'm trying to find the source of the vibration at 75 MPH. I had a vibration at lower speeds, tightening the drive belt seems to have cured that. I performed an experiment today on the highway - I was certain the vibration was caused by the belt...

    Wiring for Corbin Heated seat?

Hello All, Meg and I ordered a Corbin Heated seat for our 2015 RTL last month. :ohyea: It will be delivered this week. Does the Spyder have existing wiring that I can tap into for the heated seat? I would rather not run wiring direct to the battery as some bozo in a parking lot can turn the...

    BajaRon Shock Adjuster install

Hello All, We installed the shock adjusters last week and really like the way they improved the ride. Without even cranking them up it raised the front of the Spyder 3/4 of an inch. Meg and I will start cranking them up 1 turn at a time to see how much difference it will make. So far with these...
