• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installing Garmin Zumo R1 Radar - any suggestions on where to run the wire?

I have been gifted a Garmin Zumo R1 Radar system (new product). It will let you know when someone is in your blind spot and close behind you. I really like this idea in that my old stiff neck doesn’t swivel as far as it used to, and I have this feature on my car and it works very well...

How serious is a C1290 error code? Ignore 'til next service, or Dealer Now?

About 6 weeks ago my 2020 RT Limited gave me a C1290, which I looked up and it was described as a “ Steering Angle Sensor Zero Point Malfunction”. Everything seemed fine (and I was out of town) so I continued driving without incident. It just showed up a second time. The bike seems fine...

Planning a Trip to the Ozark Mountains - any advice?

A friend and I are planning a trip to the Ozark mountains near the end of September. We’ll have 1 full day and two 1/2 days to ride. The Ozarks are new to me, so; What are some good motorcycle friendly hotels in the area? What restaurants do you recommend (and not recommend)? What roads are...

Before I buy a 2nd phone… could I just use it for BRP Connect functions?

I have a handlebar mount for my phone because I monitor my blood sugar on the display (I’m a long term diabetic). This means I can’t use BRP Connect since it controls the display. I can still use my phone for phone calls and music via Bluetooth, but none of the BRP Connect features. If I had...

2020 RT - front seat won't stay raised - any solutions?

Recent problem. 2 year old bike, seat has always stayed up for filling with gas, etc. Now it flops straight down. There is no air lift and I'm not sure what mechanism is meant to hold the seat in the raised position. Thoughts? Solutions? I can live with this minor issue but I find it...

Best seats - are Russell Day Long seats REALLY that good?

On various bikes, I’ve had a Corbin, a Mustang, and an Ultimate seat. I’m currently driving a 2020 RT with the Comfort seat and my butt just aches after 2-3 hours (My wife says I haven’t had a butt since i turned 50!) The only brand I have never heard ANTYHING bad about is the Russell Day Long...

2020 RT & Sena - what's needed to achieve the correct pairing?

I got a new helmet and added a Sena SRL headset to it. It's been long enough I don't remember if I paired the Sena unit to the bike as a phone, 2nd phone, or other device. Either way, it isn't pairing properly. So, what setting do I use on the helmet to achieve the correct pairing?

    Any recommendations on mounting MotoHorn?

I have a MotoHorn in transit for my 2020 RT. It is a bugle style horn, perhaps 14" or so long. Does anyone have any recommendations on mounting one of these? I don't think there's room in the wheel wells, and I'm not sure if mounting on top of the steering arm mechanism will work.

    Gave up on BRP connect

My 2014 didn’t have BRP connect, and I really was looking forward to it on my 2020. I like the idea of an uncluttered handlebar area, and using those apps from the phone made sense ... but... Both Genius and Sygic have real weaknesses, at least in the areas I use them in. Genius has...

    Garmin SRT file of Spyder

My 2014 Spyder RT had a Garmin GPS, and it had a Spyder as one of the vehicles that could be selected. I just bought a Zumo XT and it doesn't offer that vehicle. I've been to the Garmin website and can't find it there either.\ Will someone please volunteer to pull the .srt file from their...

    Spring in throttle housing

I just changed handlebars on my 2020 RT - easy and successful, except that my throttle no longer returns to the full idle position. When I release it, the bike idles at around 1200-1300 RPM. I can force it to idle position, but it snaps back to around 1250 RPM when I release the throttle. I...

    Tupperware on 2020

My bike trailer requires a 5-pin connector, so the BRP harness won’t work. I had a ShowChrome (Big Bike Parts) harness on my last bike and it worked perfectly, so I bought one for my RT. They don’t yet make one for the 2020 RT, but they claim the F3 harness fits perfectly. Unfortunately, it...

    BRP Connect/FOBO question

Just purchased some new FOBO sensors and they are the new FOBO 2. It appears that the newer sensors aren’t compatible with the original FOBO software, and the new FOBO software isn’t compatible with BRP Connect. Am I right? Suggestions? Does anyone know if FOBO is working on making their new...

BRP Connect/Genius question - How do I exit?

I’m new to the BRP Connect system and I have an issue. I can load any of the BRP Connect apps, use them, and exit them by pressing and holding the joystick straight down. However, the Genius Maps app doesn’t exit the same way. How do I exit Genius Maps so I can load other BRP Connect apps?

    First impressions on the 2020

I picked up my bike yesterday, trading the 2014. It is a 2020 RT Limited with the front accessory light, heated seat with passenger armrests and driver's backrest, and driver backrest. Color - BRP calls it chalk, I would call it a creamy light grey. I really like, but I don't think chalk is...

    Windshield on 2020 RT

I bought an F4 vented windshield on my 2014, and had planned on letting it go when I traded my bike for a 2020. My dealer said the two windshields weren't compatible. On a different post, someone said the F4 for the 2014 would fit. I called F4 and they verified it - the two windshields have...

Will my 2014 RT F4 w/screen fit on the 2020 RT w/screen mounts?

Do any of you 2020 owners know if my F4 windshield on my 2014 RT will fit the mounts on the 2020? They look the same at a glance.

Premature questionization about the 2020 RT

I'm aware it's too early for anyone to know this yet (except BRP), but I'm intensely interested in the 2020 RT and trying to figure it out before it is available. If I'm understanding the description properly, it sounds as though the linkage between the cell phone and the navigation system is...

    Shifter question

My 2014 may be developing a new problem - the paddle shifter still shifts upwards with a slight touch, but suddenly I'm having to apply a fair amount of force to get it to downshift. The transmission is fine when it automatically downshifts so I believe the issue is purely with the...
