• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2016 Tech Plus Pants and Jacket

I was looking into a nice jacket and pant set for the fall, winter and spring weather. I looked at the Can-Am website to see what they had to offer and came upon the Tech Plus gear. It claims it is waterproof and windproof, similar to the Gore-Tex product. But it doesn't describe if there is...

    New Elka Shocks - Installation

Late last night, Fed-Ex surprised me with a signature required delivery of my Elka Shocks. Hmmmmm, do I start on the install at 7:45 pm after an already long day or do I wait? Georgia Bill and I texted a few times shortly afterwards and he wanted to see how hard the disassembly and install may...

    2014 RT-S Battery Replacement

Can anyone point me to the correct battery replacement for a 2014 RT-S? When I try and search on EBay and other sites, I don't get a good response or what seems to be correct...where I am going with that is the "BS" at the end of the model numbers. I've read where you don't want that with...

Rear Tire - What is the Best Option

All, If I do a search on this site, there are numerous threads on replacing the rear tire...so in order to narrow down my search, and give everyone a chance to voice their opinion again but directed to me, I thought I'd throw out the almighty question and get to the point: I'm needing to...

Ultimate Tall Boy Seat - RT

OK, like several riders on SL, I am thinking about trying to find a more comfortable seat option from the 2014 stock seat with Airhawk-R. I keep coming back to the Ultimate Seat, because many have proclaimed their extreme happiness with the seat and day/night difference. I'm thinking about...

    TricLED Side Fender Lights

Over the weekend I was finally able to install my Christmas present to myself, which was the amber front/side fender lights from TricLED. Easy enough installation, but for some reason I didn't have a good connection on the second side and had disassembled the splice connector clips...

    100% Pure Gas

So I ran some errands and had to get some "sale items" from Cycle Gear. Bought an awesome new Battery Charger and Maintainer for $39.99 and two pairs of summer gloves (one for me and one for the mrs) that were leather and 50% off - on sale for $29.99 each. On the return trip, as I was cruising...

Lamonster NBV Highway Pegs - Spyderpops

Just received my NBV highway pegs from spyderpops today (Saturday)... Gotta love farkles shipped priority via USPS. The first side was tricky, as it's the "learning" side. But after that, the other side took 10 minutes if that. All together it was an hour of time. I haven't gone out for a...

USB and 12v Power - CnC Machines

Today I installed the USB and 12v power unit from JT. The power unit goes on the dash mount, and looks really good and works great. The toughest part was getting the wires down to the battery compartment... had to take off a bunch of tupperware to fish the wires and conceal everything. In the...

Smooth Spyder Tensioner - Advice needed

I recently installed my smooth spyder tensioner on my 2014 RT-S and set the tension to about 10-lbs. This based on the instructions by Jim and the scale provided. I took it for a ride today and didn't feel the lower speed vibrations, around the 55-60 mph range. I did however feel really bad...

    2014 RT Side Panel Question

Today, after I was done installing my smoothspyder tensioner on my 2014 RT-S, and ready to put back on the tupperware, I noticed that the upper left side panel, the panel that contains four working screws (two under the side mirror and two elsewhere) and two "chrome plated" fake ones that push...

Did anyone catch the article about Alpinestars releasing their new Tech-Air Jacket, cordless air bag system for rider protection in a collision?
