• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Solo to Alaska

Yes, you read that right, I am riding to Alaska on my 2020 RTL. I will be leaving my home in the Kansas City area on June 16th. I will be on the road for 32 days. Why alone? It is difficult to find someone you already know that is available for a month, rides a motorcycle or Spyder, and...

Anyone using Octane Booster in their Spyder? Pros & Cons?

Anyone have experience using an octane booster in a Spyder? How did the Spyder perform? Any potential negative side effects. My summer riding plans may take me to areas without premium gas.

Nice to see Motorcycle Events happening again!

It's nice to see motorcycle events popping up once again this summer. It gives us not only Plan A but Plan B and C as well. Lots of options for destination riding.

Black Hills and more in South Dakota

This is a trip I made back in September of 2018. Pre-Covid seems so long ago. After completing a trip with Doug to the Outer Banks of North Carolina it was time to tweak the thought process a bit for the next trip. This time we would invite the wives to go along with us. Lisa had traveled...

    Time for KOTT Grills

I just finished up a five day loop around the Great Plains. I stopped in South Dakota and discovered I may need to move KOTT Grills up on my want/need list.

    Highest Attendance Spyder Gathering?

I was traveling through Springfield, MO the other day and reminisced to when Spyderfest was at it's peak. I think that the Owner's Events in the early days were the highest attended Spyder gatherings but when they stopped I imagine it was Spyderfest in Springfield that was the most heavily...

    Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve

Here’s a ride most of you have probably never taken. I was looking for a day trip out of Kansas City and looked at scenic drives in Kansas. Yes, there are scenic drives in Kansas. I rode out to Council Grove where the Flint Hills Scenic Byway started. By the time I arrived with a riding...

2020 RT Pass armrest install - What am I missing?!

This post is for 2020+ RTL owners who have installed the BRP Passenger Armrests. I broke down and paid for the armrests. Installation has been fairly simple. However, the rubber cover on the passenger heated grips is not fitting back into place in a functional, aesthetic manner. What was a...

    Breckenridge, CO part 1

Since this forum has just been added I thought I would add something to get it started. I'll add it in several separate posts to make it easier to upload and read. And, to correct any mistakes I make along the way since this is new to me. A little background, first. I bought my 2013 Spyder...

New Forum suggestion - Ride Reports

I am suggesting a new forum for "Ride Reports". This would be a forum for members to share their rides and pictures with the rest of us. There is a "Spyder Rides and Events" forum but they are all about Spyder Gatherings, not about specific ride experiences. With spring on our doorstep I know...

    Maximizing 2020 RTL trunk

I am planning some summer trips on my 2020 RTL. Does anyone have a good lead on luggage that will fit the new trunk? So far, I've thought of 2 soft sided saddlebag liners so my wife and I can each use the space. Any other suggestions?

Any 3rd party armrests near release?

I was hoping a 3rd party vendor would have some 2020+ passenger armrests ready to go by this spring. I told my riding partner I would get her some by the spring riding season but it's going to hurt if I have to buy them from BRP. I've read on this site about seats nearing release by vendors...

    teardrop camper

I have not seen this pull behind camper previously discussed. It is made in Canada and is under the 400 pound towing weight limit for the Spyder. Be sure to change the text to English if you don' understand French. https://microroulotte.com/

    Changing handlebar reach

I have a 2020 RT Limited. I am getting soreness in my upper back that I did not get on my 2013 RT-S. So, I am wanting to move the handlebar reach closer to me. I appear to have two options, the short reach handlebars or the handlebar riser that Lamonster's Garage sells. Anyone with insights...

    Price increase?

It's strange. I went to the BRP web site to look at the new Spyder RT on my tablet. The RT pricing was up $5,000! I double checked it on my laptop and the price was still at $23K. Is my tablet just acting funny or is something in the works?

    Elka Shocks

I'm thinking it is time to buy a newer RT. My current bike has Elka front shocks but they are now about 7 years old. Is it worth moving the shocks to the newer bike or let them go because of their age? They have 31K miles on them.

    BMW Promotions

I noticed that BMW is already offering promotional discounts and/or low APR on their 2020 lineup. Not even May with consistent riding weather, yet. Could other motorcycle manufacturers be far behind? Some of the BMW pricing makes Spyders look downright reasonable.

    Ultimate Seat question

I bought my 2013 RT-S used almost six years ago. It came with an Ultimate Seat. It just dawned on me that I don't know if it is a Midrider or Tall Boy model. I sent this question to the company but being the weekend they may not be answering e-mails. Is there a way for me to check to see...

On a trip and I Need dealer in Phoenix area

I am on a two week trip from Kansas City to Scottsdale. I am spending this week in Breckenfidge, CO. I noticed my brakes are squeaking. I still have a couple more days in Colorado before I head to Scottsdale. I'll be spending a few days with a friend so it would be a good time for me to get...

    BRP Facebook Event

Looks like the BRP Facebook Live event won't start until 11 PM Eastern time. A little late for me. Guess I'll read Spyderlovers Tuesday morning to find out what was unveiled.
