• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is this and where does it belong?

So, I just finished up installing Lamonster's LED headlights and fog lights into my 2014 Spyder RTS. While looking for a tiny torx head socket in my front I found this item. I have no idea from where it was knocked off nor where it belongs. Any help? Now I'm going to try and post a picture...

2014 RT-S front upper and lower A-arm grease (zerk) fittings... Missing???

So, I read in post on here that the grease fittings on the front upper and lower A-arms are hard to get to and may need special fittings on the grease gun. To make a long story short, I have two of the recommended fittings ready to go on my grease gun but... I can't find the cock-a-doodie-grease...

    Trailering an RT my solution

So, a few years ago I wanted to trailer my Cognac 2014 RT-S SE6. I sent for the "Superclamp" set up in plenty of time to get it and install it on my 18' drop tail flatbed car trailer. It didn't arrive when I expected it and after many excuses about the carrier, the manufacturer and the retailers...

    Impromptu Unscientific Satisfaction Survey

I'm just curious to know.... So, I am interested to know how many folks out there who own any year of the Spyder RT model who have: 1.- NEVER installed any upgrade to their machine for the purpose of upgrading an engineering failure or inferior quality part. NOR 2.- never felt that any...

    Compressor/Airbag system

SO, pursuant to a former post of mine, the compressor died and there is probably a leak somewhere. I'm not really happy about any of that considering it's JUST out of warranty. I don't really trust my local Spyder dealer to do anything but install that same crap compressor, air bag, valves, and...

    Cat Bypass Tips and Review

Received a catalytic convertor bypass pipe from the appropriate SpyderLovers vendor (I believe it was from Lamonster but it was ordered and received many weeks ago) for my 2014 RT-S. It was a super-quality piece of work with all the right curves, hangers, and swaged ends to be an exact...

    Compressor Woes...

So, I have a 2014 RT-S with the adjustable air shock in the rear. Got about 9K miles on it (the Spyder) when this suddenly started happening. I hear the compressor running, quitting, running, quitting a LOT while riding 2up. When I ride alone, I don't notice it doing this and it didn't do it...

Dumb spare tire for Spyder trailer question.....

So, many folks on here who have a trailer to pull behind their Spyders (usually the RT 622 trailer) seem to gravitate toward carrying a spare tire for said trailer. My question is, IF you had the ability to carry around an extra tire on a rim, wouldn't it be more wise to carry a FRONT Spyder...

RT 622 Trailer lock cylinder change (without key for currently installed cylinder)

Just a quickie... Anyone needing to change RT 622 trailer lock cylinders just follow the 2 (or more) videos on YouTube. When you get to the part where you are actually removing the cylinder, insert your current (wrong) key all the way and then push down on the little tang on the back side to...

2014 RT-S Drive Belt Change (Replacement)

After doing a search and reading all the headers on about 10 pages of the DIY forum, I can't find out how a belt change is done. I even checked my shop manual. It tells me all about belt adjustments but, not how to remove it from the machine and put a new one on. I know how to remove the belt...

Troubling and baffling problem in the "drive line".

2014 RT-S SE6 I have a problem where occasionally but, not always, when I leave my house the Spyder will produce a really loud knock or bang that can be felt through the whole bike. The bike actually feels like the chassis was hit with a hammer. The sound is like a really hard shift but...

2014 RT-S Baja Ron (anti) Sway Bar and Spring Adjuster Install Tips and Reviews

This past weekend I installed the Baja Ron shock spring adjusters and the B/R (anti) sway bar with the aluminum end links onto my 2014 RT-S. First a few tips and first with the spring adjusters: I thought I might have to remove the frunk because the assembler (dealer) had put the top shock...

2014 RT-S BRP trailer wiring advice/ or part number needed

I own a 2014 RT-S. I purchased an older (I was told 2013), used Can Am RT hitch. As I understand it, the mechanical part will work OK. Is that true? The wiring harness with that older hitch has a 9-pin round connector. It wasn't a big deal at the purchase time because I COULD have ended up with...

Spare connector under the coolant cap access panel???

I have a 2014 RT-S. I'm looking to hook up an aftermarket GPS and need to find power. I found an unused 2 conductor connector just inside the right black cover under the frunck lid. It's the one that has a picture of the coolant tank cap and computer/mouse embossed into it. Anyway, I was...
