• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    tri-axis

Just a plug...I have a new set for 15 and earlier RT in the for sale @ $400. Someone grab 'em before they get tossed in the back of the barn. We're tired of tripping over the box.

RT-S with new owner - of course something breaks :(

Wonderful ride to Charlotte and a nice half-day spent with new owner. Got a call this morning that the frunk won't latch....:banghead: Never had the issue on the 12 or this 14, he already tried removing the rolling luggage out, and tested the latch by hand and it works fine. All i've ever...

    Tri-axis (yes, another TA thread)

So I'm assuming my '14 won't sell and ordered a chrome tri-axis kit. If for some crazy reason it sells before the kit gets here next week I'll have a Tri-axis for sale cheap :). Dealer wants $325 - 350 to install. I watched the Finless Bob 3 part video, and still have to ask the group...

    Yet another....upgraded to 2014 today

Yes, I said I wouldn't, all I can say now is, don't ever try out a '14 Spyder if you own an earlier model. Don't even start to look at the specs or how much nicer the dipstick location/operation is, battery, etc. Definitely do not start comparing how much further you can go on a tank or how...

Are water deflectors like Socks in the dryer?

I've seen posts on it....but I went to install a relay for my new heated seat today (Thanks JT for the great relay kit), and saw my port side water deflector was gone. Where do they go? Is this something that needs reinforcing? Just seems odd, didn't notice it leaving...

Anyone else get riled about two wheelers dumping on Trikes?

So usually I'm pretty thick skinned...(and yes I posted this on Brothers of the Third Wheel as well). I was member of a FB group called International Brotherhood of Adventure Riders and these folks went off on a rant of posts about Spyders and Trikes in general as not being 'real' motorcycles...

Installed rear speakers/control - no volume control

As subj says. Installed the BRP kit this morning, the passenger tuning control works but not the volume control. I rechecked and re-plugged in the switch assembly just to make sure all was good. Any voodoo reset or enablement sequence for the volume or did I get a bum switch? Job was kinda...

Just darned impressed on how these Spyders handle heavy weather

My commute is about 65 miles each way, so Spyder gets a workout. Yesterday I didn't make it home before a BIG series of thunderstorms rolled through. High winds, driving rain, some hail. Spyder was solid as a rock. A few gusts tossed both me and cars around a little, but I'd put them at...

    Matching gauge?

I want to replace my analog fuel with an analog volt. Does anyone have a link or part name, number for a gauge that will match the look of the temp gauge?

    Eri's mods...nothing to see here

All bolt ons for now. Ronbar, Ron Heim links, missing belt guard, Pitbull cat replacement, RT-S chrome. More coming.

Installed. Pitbull Cat Bypass 998 twin

Video cam wouldn't play in those tight spaces, but even without instructions it was dead easy. Caveats-I talk about jacking on the bypass pipe, I didn't break a manifold or mounts, but beware of the possibilities. Use at your own risk. Mileage may vary. For landlubbers, Port is left, Stbd is...

Nice visit to Brewer's in Henderson, NC

Got Spidey her 800 mile service. Little over $200 with oil change. Yes...it was very late for it's 800, had almost 1900 miles on it. No evidence previous owner did it so I had it done. Only comment is that if you want full synth, order it in advance, they don't carry any 5-40 or 10-40...

Ratings on dealers. How are they done??

As the title says, how are 'Platinum, Gold, Silver' awarded. I have a dealer near me that was, although always very very nice, always making mistakes on motorcycle jobs for me. They are a Platinum dealer for Can-am. Does that mean they do well on :ani29:s?

    tinkering afternoon

In from airport at 3am, then a workday. Couldn't let the new spyder sit though, so I popped on the Baja Ron sway bar. First time I'd touched the spyder other than to ryde it home so I guess an hour for the sway bar wasn't bad. Props to finless for the video, made it way easier. Checked...

Spyder home. Only 1 trip issue (minor)

Nice ryde back from DC today, about 6 hours for a 4 hour ryde (DC nuttiness). Thanks to all the how to's and tips on this forum, no issue at all going from motorcycle to :spyder2:. First set of cloverleafs got a feel for higher speed turning, passing trucks was no issue, nor was rough road...

Picking up the RT Sunday - Advice? also - Fog Q.

Hi folks, Will be traveling about 4 hours to DC to pick up my 'new' 2012 RT - SM, staying the night to visit and then driving home Sunday after church. I've read the Do's and Don'ts as well as an online owners manual. Have about 10 miles on a used RS test drive at the dealer a few months...

Add rear speakers to '12 with A&C?

Hi folks, looked in the DIY and couldn't find this one. I'd like to add rear speakers, is there 'kit' with the proper grilles? Is wiring already there? Would prefer to supply my own speakers rather than factory stock but whatever works :).

New Spyder owner, looking for info on reliable servicing dealer

Hi folks, bought my :spyder2: used from a friend in DC so no local dealer loyalties. I work fairly close to Triangle Cycles Durham location. I called them and they were very nice to talk to, anyone have experience with their service? I know motorcycle wise they have a good reputation. I...

    Newbie sayin hi.

Just bought a 2012 RT. Always been on two wheels, friend of mine can't ride anymore so sold me his Spyder with 800 miles on it. Motorcycle friends are already trashing me about how bad Can Am Spyders are, so with my perverse nature I'm determined it's going to be trouble free and fun :)...
