• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Enchanted Mountain rYding

I was looking at Deb's video of the group ride thru the CA hills. Since I live in a valley between mountains, every spYder ride to town involves roads that are twisty, BUT not nearly as well maintained. The winter freezes take their toll. So, if any are ever in NW PA, shout me out and we'll...

    hydraulic hand activated brakes.

For those living in Western New York or Northwestern PA. Pioneer Motorsport in Chaffee, NY designed and installed a hand brake system for me. This is a very nicely designed and fitted addition. Using the hand brake, also activates the normal brakes and thus there is no difference in the ABS or...

    Fr. Leo's Mods

I just installed F1's 777 windscreen. Thought many might like to see what it looks like. It pretty much eliminates all slip stream wind blast.

    Travelin SOUTH

I see bright sunshine and a temperature of 15F at our farm in NW Penna this morning. Today's the day we load the spYder on the trailer and head south. Hoping to avoid the Noreaster we'll travel thru western PA, West Virginia and eventually get to North Carolina. I'm really looking forward to...

    Hardy Harley Rider

As I left church this morning, it was 14F. Rumbling bye was a rider on a Harley. Ice, snow and sand hadn't deterred him. I gave him a wave, and he just gave me a blank stare. Either he was frozen -OR- he was put off by my priestly attire. :dontknow: ---leo---

    last rYde for 2008?

It was kinda warm for two days in a row here. Yesterday 50, today 40. That got most of the ice and messy stuff off our driveways and the roads. I took advantage and rolled the spYder out of the cave. (barn) The rYde wasn't too far, but I got the oil temp up and circulated and a good test of the...

    F1 EIII Slider arrived today

Ordered on 11/12, arrived in excellent condition this morning(11/21). As those that have this wind screen know, it is a beautiful piece of work. Now -- if it wasn't 15F, snowing, blowing and icy, I'd love to try it out. I suspect that the install would go better on a warmer day. ---leo---

    first of the year

When I got up this morning, it was 26F and definitely frost on the punkin'. After getting my bowl of oatmeal, suited up and took spYder on the road. The FIRSTGEAR ThermoSuit was excellent. I had on sweat pants and a light sweater and feel I could have had regular pants and a shirt. Only place...

that plastic ring on the bars

Hello all, I am seldom a tinkerer and what seems simple to some usually means less than simple for me. I want to install a GPS mount in the location of the small ring on the right bar. I have read two ways to remove that ring. 1. cut it and remove it. (box cutter, etc.) 2. remove 2 screws...

    ROAD KILL

I live in a very rural area, our farm is actually surrounded by forest. Every ride I take has me riding through wooded areas and forest creatures of many kinds abound. Today, I learned a very important lesson that is unique to SYPDERing. When you encounter road kill, what do you do? You DON'T...

    DAY 2-4 me

This afternoon, I took my 1 day old spYder out for some cruising. I went to my favorite diner for a coffee and pie. Until you experience it - you just don't understand. When I parked, the diners exited the establishment and came to oogle and ask about this strange machine. The only guy that...

TODAY, I became a spYder owner

Finally got all the interstate paperwork accomplished, got a PA plate and picked up my SPYDER this afternoon. The ride home was uneventful - except that I love the machine. I have seldom felt so comfortable with a new machine so quickly. The western NYS and PA routes make for a really good...
