• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2015 RT vs 2014 RT Observation

Not looking to start a long winded thread just something I found interesting this past weekend. Took a '15 Special Edition RT for a test ride, noted the '15 was quieter and vibrated less during the belt 'shake zone' as I call it around 3800-4200 rpm. This was as compared to mine with an...

    Entertainment System Audio Quality

For those of you coming off GL1800 Gold Wings and now on RTs, how do you compare the audio sound quality both music & CB radio? Using the same helmets, so same headphones (J&M), we find the quality well below that of our Wing. I've read that the early '14 RTs had problems with the...

Replaced my rear tire last week, does that mean I should get another lazer aligment? Not clear if the removal and reinstall process could effect alignment?

For you canyon carvers, what tire pressure are you running? I ran down Rt 64 and 178 yesterday from Chimney Rock to Table Rock, the rear tire would slide as I pushed some of the corners.

    Laser Alignment Today

Had a laser alignment done today on my '14 RTL, they told me the alignment needed significant correction. I was able to watch the process (the new version) fascinating, two guys approx. 1.5 hours. I can honestly say I didn't see a lot of improvement in the overall handling on the ride home...

    RT Vibration

So I'm working out the kinks of my new RT (first time Spyder owner), I finding vibration on the highway around 3800 to 4100 rpm. I'm also noting most of the vibration comes while gently decelerating from say 75 to 70. I took the advice from members on this board and installed a Smoothspyder...

    12 Volt Trunk Accessory Plug

If I read the Operators Guide correctly, the 12 volt plug in the trunk of my '14 RT has a 5 amp fuse. I was thinking about using it to power my air compressor should I get a flat, the compressor is 12 volt 15 amp. So that tells me this outlet is off limits. Back in the old days we'd simply...

    Side Panels

Has anyone else experienced loosing a side panel, in particular the left side panel? Mine flew off yesterday on the highway. Thinking once I replace it I'll try using a zip tie not only to hold the grommet in place but possibly it will provide more resistance on the panel push pin in the grommet.

    My First Ride Impressions

After 45 years on two wheels with my last 15 on a Gold Wing all I can say is WOW! Did almost 200 miles on some rough (frost heaves) back roads in MA, NH & VT today on my new 2014 RT Limited. What a easy bike to get used to and ride, handled the frost heaves better than my Wing with Traxxion...

    Zumo 665 Connection

As we know the RT can come with an optional Garmin 660, I have a 665 that has XM radio. I know the 665 snaps into the 660 mount and works well that comes with the RT. With the 665 we need to use it with the antenna also known as the 'hockey puck'. Does anyone know if the harness assembly that...

    Head Light Question

For those of you owning a '14 RT Limited or otherwise.....have you noticed any issues with your headlights? Have you noticed people pulling over and letting you go by during the day while running your low beams? The reason I ask is......while I followed my wife in her Grand Cherokee on my RT...
