• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

REVIEW: CalSci Tinted Shorty Windshield for the Spyder RT

So I wanted a short windshield for my 2014 Spyder RT-S to aid in providing my air to myself due to summertime temperatures and to see if I could achieve better mileage. I considered the CalSci Tinted Shorty Windshield, but the height of the windshield is 19", and that was still taller than what...

    Frunk Release Force

My 2014 RT-S doesn't have an electric frunk release, so turning the key in my entry in. The force exerted to open it has always been pretty great. When the dealer went through this training with me, I noticed even the Service Manager had a hard time with it, but he didn't seem concerned at...

    1st = Plunk / Reverse = Kerplunk

Whenever I first put my RT-S (Automatic) into gear (either Reverse or 1st) after startup, I get a hard plunk or kerplunk (depending on which gear). It doesn't matter if I am starting it up for the first time in days, or starting it up after having just making a pitstop at a store, getting gas...

    My RT is Jacked Up!

I never came across any pictures on how it was done, and I wished I had done this back when I changed my oil, but I thought everyone would like to see this for reference. It is very, very easy to lift the RT without any other tools than what you use for you car. Using two ramps, I drove the RT...

    Fog Light Fuse

I am trying to figure out which fuse is the fog light fuse on the 2014 RT-S. The manual doesn't state anything about a Fog light fuse. The left side fuse panel only shows a fuse for "Lo Headlamps", and one for "High Headlamps". Maybe it is an American vs. Canadian thing, but this isn't a...

2014 RT Head Light & Fog Light Bulb Type Confirmation

Well I've looked online and in the manual, and I'm finding lots of contradictions (the 2014 manual even shows pictures of older model RTs). So what exactly are the bulb types for the headlight and fog light? 9005, H9, H4? The manual says the headlight is H4, and the type is not listed for the...

Where Did You Ride to this Past Weekend?

Me and my better half rode the three sisters (335, 336 & 337) in the Hill Country near Kerrville, TX. This is voted as one of the top three motorcycle rides in the U.S. This particular photo was taken just east of Leakey, TX on 337. It was a picture perfect weekend.

    Shimmying

Has anyone else noticed or experienced the RT's plastic (console/windshield) shimmying going down the road? Is this just the normal nature of the RT due to having two wheels up front?

    2014 Spyder RT Oil Change

Well I decided to do my first oil change on my Spyder RT-S tonight. Even though the process is somewhat documented in the Operator's Guide, I find it a bit difficult to follow. That, combined with the fact you will need several parts to complete the job, I thought I would document the...

    2014 RT SE6 Oil Filter

To my surprise I've searched everywhere for a part number, cross reference numbers for other manufacturers, etc..., but haven't been able to find any information on this. So is the oil filter for the 2014 RT the same one that was used for the 2013? Has anyone verified what it truly is? I'm...

    Mirror Turn Indicators

Does anyone have a picture of, or know what the mirror backings looks like? I want to install my indicators behind the mirrors, but don't want to make major modifications to the mirror backings.

    Pull Behind Trailers

So I see some of the members here are getting some new toys to pull behind their toys so that they can carry more toys. I too have been wanting to get a trailer, but don't need quite as much storage as what the 622 carries. Also, I really don't want the extra drag which would also make a...

MY Prius Antenna on My 2014 RT-S

So I kept seeing all of these reports about the antenna falling off down the road. That, combined with the fact that I bought a half cover to keep the RTS covered whenever I park it in a parking lot (and it's more difficult to get the cover over the stock antenna), I decided to get a stubby...

2014 RT-S MPG Report for Texas

I thought I would create this thread to keep a tally of the MPG I am getting on my 2014 RT-S. I purchased it and drove it home on 2/1/2014. So far, mileage has been very good. However, I expect to see MPG increase once we go back to summer temperatures and summer gas, and my RT-S is broken...

Adding Heat to a Stock Seat

This question could apply to any Spyder for that matter, but of course I am really wondering if anyone has added heating elements to their stock RT seat. The 2014 stock seat is very comfortable to me, so I have no interest in upgrading the seat to another. Has anyone done this, or thought...

    Power Cable Routing

I'm going to be installing a hardwired Micro B power cable for my mobile phone. I need a clean way of routing it up around the steering column, and then on the left side of the handlebars. Having yet to take any plastic off the RT, what is the best way (for keeping it both simple and clean...

My First Farkle, a RT Cup Holder by Eduo Innovations

$105.95 for a cup holder? Ok, so it is by far the most money I've ever paid for a cup holder. However, having a drink on the ready keeps me in the saddle longer. In the past I used the RAM cup holder that swivels, but it is made of cheap plastic, and when empty, would vibrate at certain RPMs...

My New Black 2014 Spyder RT-S SE6 & Dealer Experience (You have to see this!)

Well I just picked up and rode home my new 2014 Can Am Spyder RT-S SE6 yesterday. It was a great 100+ mile ride home in wonderful 75 degree weather. There have been plenty of "reviews" on the new 1330, so I won't bore you with my own, except to say that it is everything that everyone else has...
