• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2018 vs 2019

So my old RTS was totaled, 'nough said. Looking at the 2019 (now that the paperwork is settled), but I have a chance to purchase a "new" 2018. Does anyone know the differences in the two? Besides the price... As a prior Spyder owner, one of the original Premier Owners Group, I know BRP's...

RTS; I need to pin down an engine/transmission issue before taking it in...

Once again, thanks to all that visit the forum and take the time to assist. My dealership service dept. is not known for their Spyder "sense." We have found that if we can narrow down an area to focus on, they are more willing to try to resolve issues. After traveling about 10 hrs. and over 600...

RTS; need advice on Zumo 660

Short version: bought the BRP Zumo 660. Wiring, etc. worked done by spouse. His advice: worth the effort, instructions could have been written better. My job...the techie part, did not go well. I could not load or access Maps on the unit. 3 days, totalling over 8 hours on the phone to Garmin...

Is there a Market out there for used RS parts?

I am sad to announce that PE #1032 will be sent to auction in a few months. The bike is in the shop for another 6 weeks and will be returned to us... to strip off the extra BRP stuff we added on the bike. And there is a lot of stuff. For those of you who have traded and sold parts; what would be...

Received the new BRP 23" windshield

and there is an amazing difference. My question to others who have purchased the same: did you install the side deflectors? What is the benefit vs the drawbacks. We have not attached the deflectors yet and I would like to see what others have to say. PS to all who have been following my...

    possible cause for fires?

I wanted to get this out ASAP and so I am starting a new thread (however same bike, same continuing issues). I had posted: .....However, driving through gears 1-3, the bike pops, backfires and tries to die. ... Received call from service dept. "...arching from spark plug cap to Head."...

    Brake failure...again and again

Bike is back at the dealership after spending a week back home. The bike keeps (5 or 6th time since Dec) loosing the brake pressure, sends out alert which will remain until dealer clears it. The brakes will loose pressure once or twice during a long ride, pumping the brake returns most of the...

LaMonster, you will want to read the bold areas

To get to the point, the typing is choppy.... Spyder has now been at dealer for 4 weeks. Inside front right tire shows extreme, uneven wear. Followed Spyderlovers advice and suggested dealer look into possible ball joint, “a” arm issue. Service dept. replies that they don’t give any credibility...

So how many people does it take to change a light blub?

So Saturday we drove our bikes up to Fresno, about 35 miles and the location of the dealership. On the way, Bob noticed that one of my back lights was out. So we went into the service shop, yes it was covered under warranty but they only have one guy that works on Spyders. Yes the local police...

In the Eternal struggle of Good Vs. Evil...

    10,000 km checkup estimate

Just a warning. The 6,250 mile service estimate was over $500. BRP requires a check on the valves or some sort of expensive thing. So I threw in about 15 warranty items to check:rolleyes:. Might as well ordered a face lift and tummy tuck.:joke:

Back from the dealership: parking brake fix available...
