• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Screven, GA

Out riding this afternoon and passed a blue RT headed west on Nine Run road out of Screven. Should have turned around and chased him down. Hoping it might have been someone here on the board.

    Spyder Sighting Darien

Passed two spyders headed north on US 17 at Darien, GA this afternoon. Any chance that they were members here? They were a red RSS and a white RT.

    Air bag pressure

Evening all, I have a '14 base RT with 3700 miles. Riding double the rear suspension bottoms out occasionally. I am assuming that I need to add air to the rear suspension. Checked it after a ride today and pressure was at 30 lbs. Anyone know what the maximum pressure would be? TIA

    Gas Mileage Yipee

Traded for a 2014 RT SM6 yesterday. First fill up today yielded 34.5. Love the torque and the mileage increase over my 2012 RT-S SE5. Today was the paymasters' (wife) longest day ever on a bike at 315 miles. Her hinny is dragging but her face is smiling. Life is good here.

Waycross - White RT Sighting... Anyone from here?

Saw a white RT pass by the college in Waycross this afternoon around 1:15. Any chance it was someone from the board?

    Another Secret Lab Encounter

Spent the morning at Doc Riversides Secret Spyder lab again. I mostly watched while he performed all the magic. Anyway, I now have JTs dash mount and dash power installed. Gorgeous parts and places my old Nuvi GPS perfectly in the middle above the dash. Next project will be JTs air cleaner...

    Lost Access Panel

I know I am not the first to lose the left side access panel on a 2012 RT. Any idea how much a replacement will be and are they available pre-painted? :sour:

    RT in hospital

2012RT-S started shifting on its' own this morning. Left a parking lot, turning right and it went into neutral. I shifted into first thinking I may have bumped the down shift and accelerated. Shifted up through gear to fourth at about 50 mph. Suddenly it shifts back down to second,

    Laser aligned @Bargeron

Had alignment on my RTS at Bargerones in Jesup. I didn't see Mike waving any magic wands but the results were nothing less than magical. He showed me that it was close to proper alignment but could be improved. The difference was obvious as I started backing out of the shop for a tear drive. It...

    Survived the $th

Not the best 4th I have ever had. Storms moving through and ended up with a tree falling across the roof of my grandsons bedroom. Nothing like being awakened by water and tree limbs coming thru the ceiling. Fastest I have ever seen that boy get out of bed. Tree fell across the power line and...

    Dealer Experience

Had my 3000 mile service yesterday at Polaris America in Statesboro and thought I would post about the experience. I got there twenty minutes before opening. They were still setting up for the day, but, the mechanic took it on in and got started. Did the intake paperwork which reminded me of...

    HF Lift Table Mods

Finished mods to my HF table this afternoon. As always, what the mechanically inclined could have done in two hours took me all weekend and three trips to Lowe's. Hope the pics are legible. As you can see I don't have a lot of room to work with. The garage is actually an old carriage house...

    Traveling Secret Lab

Spent another day watching Doc perform his magic. The no photo zone travels with the lab when he is making house calls. He worked under the most difficult circumstances I was able to arrange. Hot, humid spring day in South Georgia and being closely observed by the cats. Not to mention, one cat...

Another Awesome Day at the Secret Lab

Spent yesterday observing a master technician in action. Doc Riverside did the serious work and allowed me to drill a couple of minor holes. The guy is a perfectionist with fabrication skills. Mods now include Magic flex LEDs, amber brightsides, and LEDS in the front mudflaps. Still in the box...

    Improving MPG

2012 RT-S with 2100 miles on it since purchase six weeks ago. MPG started at 24. Todays' fill up yielded 31.4 MPG, mostly riding double at about 65-70 MPH. Only mods have been BajaRon swaybar and a bump skid. Custom Dynamics parts arrived yesterday so the farkling can begin in earnest. Getting...

Anyone think it possible to put an Aux Fuel Tank in the trunk of an RT?

Saw the set up from Mr. Orange and am very impressed. However, I have reservations regarding carrying the extra tank in front. Anyone think it possible to place a tank/fuel bladder in the trunk and use a simpler gravity feed system? I think using what appeared to be a modified gas cap would...

Secret Lab - keep it that way

Had a very productive morning at Doc Riversides' Secret Laboratory. He walked me through removing the frunk and tupperware panels for a couple of mods. I won't take any credit for what was done. Doc installed a BajaRon Sway Bar and a Bump Skid while I watched and learned. He also pointed out a...

    VIN

Where do I look to confirm my VIN. Got a letter from Geico that Georgia says the VIN that Geico reported is incorrect and Georgia considers the RT-S to be uninsured. My 30 days to get registered runs out Monday. As of today the local tax commissioner still didn't have records back from Atlanta...

    Wifes' first ride

Took the wife out to Darien for lunch today; her first time on the new RT-S. She loved it and says I can keep it. That's good, since she gave it to me for my birthday and threatened to take it and leave me on the BMW. She hasn't ridden for 25 years and we did about 180 miles. Gas mileage was up...

    Helmet Surprise

Got home last night and my wife who hasn't ridden the two wheeler with me for thirty years had gone out and bought herself a new helmet. Says she will ride the spider and we are getting out this weekend. Yipeee!
