• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the part number for Brembo rear brake caliper pin? 2015 RT

Just changing out the rear tire for another General Altimax and going to change out the brake pads as well. I noticed that the caliperpin had a wear spot where the inner pad rested. Maybe that's why the inner pad was wore down twice as much as the pad closest the piston. Are there any...

FOBO App will discontinue Sept 6 - Switch to FOBO Bike 2 App

I just got a notification that the original FOBO App that I have used with our old FOBOs will be discontinued on September 6th. Do I need to release my old FOBOs before loading the new App or will they automatically be recognized by the new FOBO Bike 2 App? I doubt I have any of the original...

Love the Forum but Reading the Manual

While most of us are sequestered due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it's a good time to catch up on your reading. I know I have about wore out my usual goto internet sites, but its nice to get away from the deluge of virus news and just take a break with some easy reading. I pulled out the...

Is this General Altimax ready for replacement

I have been watching this rear tire and now that the snow is forecast for today, I am cleaning things up and doing some "winter" maintenance. Here is a pic of the tire next to a new one I've had at the ready... What do you think? Also a picture of the rear brake pads while they're off...

F3T squeal noise under load wheeling around or turning a corner?

Squealing noise under load from F3T Our 2016 F3T has been a very dependable ride with few issues, but we have a sporadic squeal that sometimes occurs under load like accelerating through a turn in first or second gear. It seems to happen after the bike has been ridden a few miles, and...

Loctite 648 preventative maintenance on F3T at 43600 miles

Sorry Heading should say 34,600 miles Based on the number of postings on front sprockets on the F3, and a recent friends tow and week at the shop, I decided to attempt the preventative maintenance described by Lamont using Loctite 648 (found on Amazon for about $20). I have checked the...

    Fuel mileage to SpyderFest

Running the last 700 miles to Springfield on mostly Blue Highways we had good weather Tuesday and running mostly 65-67 mph with the 1330 SE6 we got great mileage on the first fillup of about 42 mpg with a slight tail wind and decreasing elevation from 5000 to 2800 ft at Garden City KS. Then we...

Wish it was this easy to clean the front grilles on the RT.. F3T is a better design

Doing my duty to keep the F3T cleaned up and serviced and ready for the next ride, I was a little disappointed in how difficult it was to suck out the accumulated bugs and debris from the grill after the latest weekend ride. While there are a lot of crevices and hiding places in the honeycomb...

Great Red Rocks Rally - couple of codes PO571 P1571

We had a great time at the Red Rocks Rally in St. George, but panicked when the parking light stayed on and the beeping wouldn't stop when we pulled into the motel after a ride on Thursday. Thanks to Will Hardy, Spyder Tech at Moto Zoo the Can-Am dealership, who stayed after 5 to hook our...

Will Wolo Bad Boy from 15 RT fit the 16 F-3?

In the process of trading our 15 RT-S SE6 for a 16 F3T. Looking to see if the WOLO Bad Boy horn we put on the RT will fit the F3T. Also should we keep the Gold or Dimple magnetic drain plugs? Will they still fit the 1330 on the 16 F3T? Does the F3T take the same oil filters and ail...

Battery tender pigtail in Frunk - Fused at 3 Amp

I have not noticed a problem with the battery tender pigtail on my 2015 base RT until I went to put it on tender this week after it wouldn't start after a 2 week spell setting in the garage. The battery tenders did not bring it to life, and the 12.2 V reading was unable to get it to fire off...

2015 RT-S Headlight and Foglight out

On a ride this weekend and the ride leader noticed the left headlight was out. When we stopped to check also noticed that the foglight on the left side was also not working. On right side both are burning bright. Haven't checked the left side fuse block yet, but kindof puzzled why both...

Cost per mile for our addiction..reflection

Just got thinking about how much we like to ride and the cost of our toys and since I'm OC and cheap I jotted down a quick table to see what my addiction is costing me just in up front cost. The nine rides we've enjoyed and their cost and miles ridden read thusly... Used Yamaha 750 - rode...

Need recommendation for Hand Pump Oil Extractor

After many oil changes on many motors, and small engines on yard tools, I am in the market for a good hand pumped oil extractor with a volume of 5-6 qts. Many of the small engines I have, could be serviced much easier with such an extractor through the dipstick tube (as many marine engines...

Headlight replacement bulb for 11 RT?

Have the first bulb burnout for the 11 RT after almost 4 years. I will replace both bulbs with similar 55W halogens when I tear down the tupperware to get to both headlights, and hopefully be good for another 4 years. I do not want to go with anything fancy like LED's but would like to know...

Check Engine Light and PO174 code==

    Belt Tracking and other questions

When we got back from getting the 3 new tires put on, I of course wanted to double check the inflation pressures and look of the new tires. Also had the tech reset the brake failure warning, and he said we needed new rear pads and would get them on next week when they got some in. The...

    Brake Alert - Brake Failure!

Just had a panic moment this morning when my wife hopped on the 2011 RT to go to work and reported "Brake Failure". The RT has 22,000 miles on it and we had just traveled about 200 miles Saturday and another 200 yesterday on moderate roads in good weather. Since it cooled off a little last...
