• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Switching from HID Head lights to LEDs

When the mice decided to remodel the front end of my 2013 RT-Ltd they ate through one if the wires for the HID headlights I had installed. Since LED head lights from Xenon Depot are almost as bright as the HID lights, I've decided to swap them out. I have a couple of questions though. 1. For...

RT being remodeled by the mice

So I rode the other day and noticed that my right blinkers were not working. The light in the dash worked but neither the front or the back blinkers worked. I checked the fuses and everything there looked ok. That same day I was cleaning out the shed where I store my RT and in the box where I...

How can I get to the fog lights to replace them with HIDs?

I'd like to replace the fog lights in my 2013 RT-Limited with HIDs. I have the kit from XenenDepot but I'm a little stumped as to what I need to remove to get at the fog lights. Can anyone here tell me what tupperware I need to remove to get at the fog lights? Thanks, Tony

Need help with getting mods installed at Spyderfest

I had a lot of ambition today. On my 2013 RT-Limited, I planned on moving the GPS from the handlebar to above the dash using The dash mount from JT's Spyder Store, install XenonDepot HIDs for the head lights and XenonDepot HIDs for the fog lights. Well all I got done was installing the HIDs...

    Do raccoons like Spyders?

Every morning when I get in my car to drive to work, I say hi to my Spyder. I've kept her covered and a battery tender on her all winter long. This morning was no different. However when I got home from work this evening I notice that there was a lot of green foam on the floor and the cover...

Took a trip on my Spyder to Northern MN.

Just finished a 900 mile trip to Ely, MN to see the in-laws. Had excellent weather riding up and my wife rode with me the last 100 miles up to Ely from Cloquet. I need to get her a new helmet though. I think the Shoei Multitech I got for her is a bit too small as she said it was giving her a...

    Checking oil in RT-Ltd question.

So with all the oil related posts going on at the moment, I have a question about checking the oil in my RT. Sunday after a long ride I went to check the oil. I pulled the left panel and unscrewed the dip stick and saw that there was oil on it just above the full mark. I wiped the oil off...

Leaving for Maggie Valley in the Morning - First long trip!!

I don't know if I'm nuts or not. I've got the RT-622 hooked up to my Spyder and tomorrow morning I'm leaving for Maggie Valley. I'm very nervous about doing this because I haven't taken this long a trip by myself since I got out of the Army in 1978 and drove a 1976 Chevy Chevette from...

Where can I purchase a long transmission oil filter for my 2013 RT-Ltd?

After paying over $300 for the 600 mile service, I think I'd like to start doing my own oil changes. I know where to get oil, but I'm stumped on where I can find the long transmission oil filters. BajaRon says on his "web" page that he doesn't carry these filters. I've looked on-line with no...

Took my first "real" ride today.

I got my motorcycle endorsement this last Monday. Since it was a beautiful morning, though a bit chilly, today I took my first long ride as I rode into work today. :D Now it normally takes me about 50 minutes to drive into work but today, I decided to let the GPS take me to work and Miss Smith...

    Passed the MSF course today.

Took the MSF course this weekend. If you've never ridden before (or even if you have), I highly recommend taking this course. You will learn the right way to ride a motorcycle and I know I'll be able to take what I've learned and apply it to my Spyder. All I need to do now is to take the...

Sena Bluetooth SM10 dongle volume issues

When I purchased my 2013 RT Limited, I had the dealer install the Can-Am Sena SM10 Bluetooth Dongle. One thing I've noticed is when I connect the cable from the audio system, the volume stays the same even if I try to change it. This happens both with the radio and with my Ipod Nano. I can...

Took my first real ride yesterday.

It was fairly nice here yesterday (in the 50's) so I decided that even though I only had my permit, I would ride my 2013 RT Ltd about 10 miles to our community theater's play rehearsal for a show we're presenting in May. I live in the country and the traffic is real light and I rarely, if ever...

License plate to small for RT-622 trailer

So I finally got the license plates for my RT and trailer. The RT didn't come with any screws for the license plate. :lecturef_smilie: However, I somehow was smart enough to save the two screws and nuts that come off when you install the SpyderPops Belt Guard (Pretty easy install BTW, except...

    2013 RT-Limited Travel Cover?

When I received my 2013 RT-LTD it did not come with a BRP travel cover. I seem to remember that the previous year RT-LTD's came with a cover. Is this not the case for the 2013's? Thanks, Tony

Going to BRP Owner's event in Maggie Valley - some questions

Talked to my wife today, she says it's fine if I want to go to Maggie Valley and the Owner's Event and Lamont's barbecue. I have a question. This will be the first long trip I've ever taken on a Spyder. It's about 920 miles from my house to Maggie Valley. I was thinking about stopping about...

How warm must it be to install Spyderpop's Belt Guard and Custom Dynamic's HMT Light?

My RT-Limited is still at the dealer getting the ball joints replaced before they deliver it to me. I've received both the Spyderpops Belt Guard and the Custom Dynamics HMT Brake light. I see that they both have an adhesive to attache them to the Spyder. My question, is how warm does it need...

    Bought a Black Current 2013 RT-Limited w/ 2013 RT-622 Trailer today

I've been reading, looking, learning, drooling and wanting a Spyder. I really wanted to buy a 2013 Viper Red RT-S. I also wanted to add the GPS and the Sena SM10 Bluetooth system. Well today I went to Metro Harley in Cedar Rapids to order it. When I got there I saw they had a 2013 Black...
