• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

RS/S Givi Hard Bag Connector Strings

As I have seen so commonly, the screw that connects the cable that keeps the rubber string attached and prevents the lid from opening all the way down to the ground has broken out of its sad plastic housing. I have tried super glue with no luck, and read long ago about someone using a slightly...

    Weird Sounds

Hello All, I started up my RSS to ride home today, and it was oddly quiet. It still runs perfectly, same power output and no check engine lights or other oddities. However when I roll on the throttle, instead of getting that ever so joyful rumble out of the hindle, I am getting what I can only...

    Weird Gas Measurements.

I have been noticing a strange trend with my RSS, and I am wondering if others experience the same. The tank is 6.6 gallons but when I fill up from being no bars with the gas light on, I only fit in 4.2-4.5 gallons. Is there some sort of measurement discrepancy or is this normal?

    Error Codes Ahoy!

So, while I have been enjoying my 2011 RSS for the past... 4 weeks. I got a check engine and two codes. P0706 and P0709 They popped up randomly throughout my ride and went away with a restart, then on the next ride occured again. The only performance change I have noticed is it now takes me...

    A great dealership experience.

So, normally my experiences are kind of ho-hum with dealers or downright frustrating but this place has been awesomely helpful. The dealership I am talking about is All Out Cycles, located in Chesapeake, VA. First the place is co-owned by David Hansin and his brother (who's name escapes me)...

    RSS Shenanigans.

So, I picked up my 2011 RSS Orange/Black on saturday and have been enjoying it immensely. I have a few questions for those that have an RS/RSS. 1. Do you find that your high beam is lighting up the treetops? I am wondering if maybe my headlight AIM is off. 2. This is my shift pattern, I...

    An Idea for the forum.

As I was digging through the various boards, I was thinking that it would be a good idea to have a third party item user review section. This section would be dedicated to reviews of various accessories or other "things" used with or on the spyder. Think that 303 Aerospace Protectant is the...

    Cold/Rough weather riding tips.

So winter is just around the corner, and where I am (Norfolk, Virginia) is starting to see the weather dip into the 50s now. I am an all year no nonsense rider. Cold, rain, fog, whatever, I ride. The only exception being iced roads as I am ballsy, not suicidal. I feel that it would be...

    Questions for RS/RSS owners.

I am looking into an RSS and had few questions for those that have had them. 1. What RPM/Speed are you shifting at? I did take an RSS for a test ride and was told that in normal traffic shifting around 4000 rpm is good, my concern is that puts me in 5th gear before 50mph which seems way off...

    New Guy Questions!

Hello everyone, I am looking intently (already put a deposit so it doesn't go anywhere) at a 2011 RSS that comes with some neat accessories and I had a few questions for those of you who have been riding them (Spyders in general) for a while. 1. This unit has the hindle exhaust and I...
