• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mirror shake on 2020 RT & Squared Away

Here’s a shout out of thanks to Squared Away for their mirror wedgies for the 2020 RT. While at the Red Rock Rally in Utah and getting my 2020 RT aligned, I was asked about mirror shake. I didn’t think I had it too bad but opted to get the wedgie kit anyway. WOW, what a difference! No more...

Long: BRP Connect & Sygic maps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BDooTV-xcQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJfTbsloFag I admit, BRP Connect is clunky and there’s a big learning curve. I purchased the Sygic maps several months ago for North America as a backup system to hubby’s GPS on his 2 wheels. (I have NOT done the...

Anyone looking for a white 2020 RTL in California?

Was talking with my salesman, John Botello at Fred Cummings Motorsports in Bakersfield, and they are getting in a white 2020 RTL in the next day or two. I know some riders were looking for that color. They might be able to get a red one too. John can be reached at 661-805-6905 (great guy...

Bajaron Sway Bar on 2020 RT

Hubby installed Bajaron’s sway bar and Heim links on my 2020 RTL today. It was windy, drizzly weather out here in California, perfect for a test ride on the farm roads. ;) We ride these roads regularly so I could feel the difference immediately. Bajaron’s sway bar definitely has less...

Shout Out to Westside Motorsports, Spokane WA & AAA Frazier Towing, Coeur d'Alene

When returning home from our Canada ride, we got caught on a secondary roadway chip and seal job without warning, on our way to the Grand Coulee Dam (SR 174 west of Wilbur, WA). The rocks were 3-4 inches deep and well, they ate my RT belt in one mile. Contacted Auto Club for a tow (3 hour...

    Hug those blind corner shoulders

Had the front left fender of my RT clipped by a downhill rider on a rural road with lots of twists and turns. I was going uphill on a 2 lane road, approaching a blind curve and hugged the shoulder. 1st downhill rider came around the turn in his lane, but his buddy behind him was over the...

California Valley/Hwy 58 flowers are in bloom

We rode westbound Hwy 58 through California Valley to Santa Margarita, and the hills were in full bloom today. It's hard to see the orange flowers but there were acres and acres of blooms

Saw this photo of a 1954 Kurtis 500 from the Pismo Beach Car Show this weekend. The front end reminds me of an F3

    Sena 20 Questions

Have several long rides planned in the coming months and would like some feedback on Sena 20's for those who use their smart phones to call via Bluetooth, get your GPS instructions through the headset and have conversations. We have the Sena SMH10's which can't multi-task like the 20's are...

Fuel Pump Replacement thanks to SL

Just want to says thanks to the other Spyder owners who posted about their fuel pump problems. Because of those posts, I knew that my '14 RT had a problem I shouldn't ignore anymore; the RT had started to get noisy when running, then there were whining noises from the frunk area off and on at...

GOS group in Oakhurst - Bridge Fire in Yosemite

A Girls on Spyders group of about 15 arrived in Oakhurst yesterday for a planned Yosemite ride. The Bridge Fire broke out on Hwy 49 and is impacting the area - let's hope everything works out for them, and that emergency personnel get the fire contained quickly as possible. Stay Safe, Systers!!

    Sena 20's

Can anyone tell me if the new Sena 20's charge lasts longer than the 10's, on long rides. I bluetooth my phone, intercom and music on a Sena 10 and have gone 8 hours or slightly more on a full charge. Always do the updates on the 10's when notified they're available. May need a new headset...

'13 RT comfort seat fit on a '14?

Did anyone here take off their '13 comfort seat with the 2" setback and put on a new '14 RT? Have been offered this seat, but the part number 219400343 (for the '13) doesn't include the '14's so I don't want to take it, if it won't fit. Thanks for your input.

Beautiful weather but no RT. :-(

Couldn't ask for better riding weather along the coast however the '14 RT is in the shop for warranty work. :( I'm hoping to get her back by next weekend  or else I will drive my family nuts, LOL. The RT has 2,500 miles on it and with SITR fast approaching, I thought it best to get the...

    KOTT's installed

Only have 800 miles on the new RT but found that out that tons of bugs and debris were getting behind the original screen, gooping up the radiator and it was a pain to clean it out. Hubby got Spyderpops new KOTT (keep out the trash) grills and installed last night. I think they'll do a great job.

Love my new RT - thanks Simi Valley Can Am, California!

Picked up my new RT at the dealer last Saturday and have been riding it around. I absolutely love it and what a difference between it and my '08 GS. There was 1 mile on the odometer when we got to the dealer and then took it out for the 10 mile pre-purchase spin. I'm adjusting to the SE6...

    Factory update for 2014's

In my search for a '14 RT, I contacted a local dealer who has one in the pipeline. He called BRP to get an ETA to his shop and found out that the factory is telling dealers to perform the "updates" before selling any '14 Can Am RT's on their floor. It is not a recall, it is an "update" only...
