• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Off To See The Lizzard

Built a cradle for my Spyder and mounted it on the aft deck of my sailboat SV Free Ride. I took the wheels off and secured the Spyder to the cradle to lower the center of gravity. The Spyder now looks like a Sea-Doo. I think it will fool the port authorities as it looks like a personal water...

    Cool Ryde

Had a very cool ryde from Key Largo to Key West , 108 miles each way. I say cool because it was overcast and spotty rain along the way. I noticed that even though it was 88 degrees that the Spyder ran very cool. I felt very little heat on my right foot and noticed that the temperature gauge on...

The Spyder is an idiot magnet but not idiot Proof

Normally I leave the cover on my Spyder here at the resort on the weekends when we have the large crowds here, but I had plans to ride more on Sunday and had the cover off. Tail of the Dragon in Guatemala

Good morning Spyderlovers! I wish that I had my Spyder along with me here in beautiful Panajachel Guatamala. There is a 7 k.m. streach of mountain road desending to Panajachel that is off the chain. As the people here are very poor, there are few cars so the traffic is light with an excellent...

    I love cats

I have a cat that loves to cuddle up and sleep on my Spyder at night while the Spyder is covered. I noticed three scratches in the paint from the cat climbing up the side under the cover to the seat. I have been unable to polish out the scratches as they are deep. Does anyone know how to keep a...

    Too hot to handle

It's been a great winter but now it's time to pickle the Spyder and put her away for the summer. These 95 degree days are just too hot on the streets of Miami and I have fear that the flip flop on my right foot may melt or catch fire. It's now time for the Spyder Lovers up North to come out and...

    Tire pressure Kumho

Does anyone know what tire pressure for a Kumho on the rear of a Spyder RTS. I had my dealer mount a Kumho on the rear of my Spyder last month and the dealer set the pressure at 28 psi. I can see that I'm experiencing more tire wear on the outside edges of the tire. I think the pressure needs to...

    Happy in Paradise

Received my Glo Ryder lights yesterday and will do the install today. The weather is perfect here for a night ryde. The only problem I see with the control sent to me is that I must have my hand on the antenna for the lights to go on or off even if the antenna is only inches away from the wheel...

    Shades of Blue

:banghead: Took my 2011 Spyder RTS in for the left front fender replacement, from the Key West Conch train incident. Conch Train hit my parked spyder. My spyder is orbital blue.:clap::clap: I installed the smooth spyder from Captain Jim this week and what a wonderful product. I now hear or feel zero belt vibration as I increase or decrease the RPM's.
