• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Schuberth C4 helmets with SC1 Standard comm

Wife and I bought the Schuberth C3 helmets five years back and installed the Cardo Scala Rider G9 communicators. After three or four years one of the G9s gave up the ghost and we replaced them with Cardo Freecom2s. Both models were paired with the Zumo GPS on our RT Ltds (initially a 2012 and...

    Motorcycle dealers in Cleveland area

My grandson lives just west of downtown Cleveland. He bought an '81 Honda CX500 a couple of years that I rebuilt for him. Now it has what seems like carb problems and I have rebuilt and reviewed five plus times without resolution. That's the background. I have thrown in the towel on the Honda...

Planning two rides for 2018, Arizona and Four Corners

Currently we have 40,000+ miles on our 2014 RT Ltd. In 2017 we rode down to Nashville to get on the Natchez Trace, rode it to Natchez, MS, then on down to Louisiana, east to Mobile then north back home (central Ohio). 2,100+ miles and a great trip. That was in May. In September we rode north to...

Uneven brake pad wear, rear Brembo on 2014 RT Ltd - Part 1 & 2

Here is what I found when I changed rear brake pads on our 2014 RT Ltd. One edge measures about 1.5 mm thick while the other edge is about 3.5 mm thick. Suspecting that one of the two sliding pins was hung up and causing this problem, I decided to pull the caliber down again and separate the...

    ACS Rebuild

Our 2014 RT Limited's ACS system started giving us problems about a week ago. Started out with the compressor making quite a racket each time it ran and it was running very frequently. When we returned home I checked the pressure in the system via the schrader valve under the seat. Now this was...

Video: INNOVV K1 2-channel Dashcam (front and rear lens)

Wanted a dashcam that would record front and rear views of entire day trips. Documentation in the case of an incident, not really to record specific rides, but will do that of course. Thought others may like to see how I installed the INNOVV K1 (www.innovv.com/the-k/) dashcam on our 2014 RT...

Next farkle ordered... INNOVV K1 dash cam

I like to shoot videos of some of our rides. I have used a Sony Handycam, dash mounted, and a GoPro Hero3+ Black, both dash mounted and helmet chin bar mounted. The results from these sources have been rather satisfying. The problem is I do not always set up a camera prior to a ride. We ride...

We have a 2014 RT Limited with the TriAxis handlebars (Part # 219400414} and the Garmin GPS support for the TriAxis (Part # 219400408). Decided to add the Kradellock to give us the peace of mind of security for the unattended GPS. The support is secured by BRP using two 16 mm hex head cap screws...

    Oil Filter

Back in Oct 2015 I changed the oil in our 2014 RT Limited at 19,000 and change miles. We now have 28,000 and change miles on it and I am about ready to do the oil change. Back in June of this year I bought replacement drain plugs from http://www.drainplugmagnets.com/canamspyder.php. They are hex...

    Broken sway bar link

Wife and I left yesterday morning for a 10 day plus motorcycle vacation traveling from central Ohio to Front Royal, VA, on day one. About 100 miles out of Front Royal while cruising the curves on US50 east I hear a hard snap and felt an immediate change in the front suspension. I have the...

    Fast Flasher Blinker Rate

I have been adding multiple TricLED lighting products to our 2014 RT Limited. After the first set to the saddlebags that involved adding turn signal lights I got the fast flasher blinker rate. So I followed bulletin 2014-8 and the rate was back to normal. The next set that I added to the front...

Videos of installation of multiple TricLED LED products

I live in central Ohio and had an opportunity to visit Reggy to see TricLEDs various products as they were installed on his RT. I was primarily interested in products that would increase our safety. A few days later I ordered seven products: 2 piece center run/stop dual functioning LED (3rd...

Ready for year 3 on our 2014 RTL

Could not push the rear tire any further down the road. After all it did give us about 18,000 miles And the original fronts, while maybe good for a few more miles, had also serviced us well at just shy of 24,000 miles. We had our dealer put another Kumho on the rear and two Kendas up front...

Need help identifying the right connector

I bought a Gear Brake brake flashing module to install on our 2014 RT Limited. Installation directions that came with the unit was a bit less than adequate. Beyond identifying where on the bike that the connector to the brake lights was located, it was no help once the area was accessed only to...

Satellite Radio Install in a 2014 RT Limited

Thought I would let those who may take on installing the BRP supplied satellite radio in a 2014 RT Limited know of a problem in the instructions. The included instructions are pretty good up to the point of location of the satellite radio pod itself. The instructions give photos and describe a...

    Storing our Spyder and trailers

I was running out of floor so I thought I would stack the air ride trailer, the RT Limited and the RT-622 trailer. We just returned form a week in northern Florida followed by a week in Hilton Head. The weather was great, we trailered the bike and put a bit over 1,000 miles riding in the two...

Cup Holders for the Chrome Tri Axis Handlebar?

We have the chrome adjustable handlebars on our 2014 RT Limited and are looking for cup holders. We had a couple of locally bought holders that we fitted to our 2012 RT standard handlebar using velcro. Decided we did not want to place adhesives on the chrome so we are looking for something that...
