• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

SpyderPops - Lamonster - humble apology

Yesterday, while my mother died, I tried to ask for help with my Tas. I made a mistake and said the product I was having problems with was SpyderPops fender lights. The mechanic installed Channelz LED fenders & TIPZ lights. It took everything I had to post my problem at that time but i only...

SpyderPops LED fender & signal lights installed at dealership - problem...

IT'S NOT SPYDERPOPS - SO SORRY. I am not mechanically inclined so all work is done at the dealership. When my SpyderPops front fender lighting strips and turn signal lights were installed, the mechanic had a problem which he did not notify me about while I was waiting in the showroom. After...

For the past couple of weeks, I have been enroute to southern TX. I am in Ozona (I-10) tonight and may be in Kerriville tomorrow. I may stop at "Kent" a Can-am dealership that I think was recommended by a local member. Is anything happening around San Antonio that I don't want to miss out on...

    Where to hide spare key?

Tomorrow I leave for TX. While having my Channelz & TIPZ installed, I am having a spare key made. I will then have a total of three. I will mail the third key to my husband, here in BC. (He doesn't ride:dontknow:) In the unlikely event:shocked: that I should lose a key, where would be a...

Tire pressure - remote areas & load conditions?

I believe that I should be keeping the tire pressure at 15-17psi. I understand the importance of maintaining front tire pressure within .05psi and monitor that closely. The front TIRES that came with my Tas are rated for a max of 30psi. What would be the adverse consequences of running, say...

Tips on carrying stuff while touring?

Packing side compartments - how safe are the latches? Hypothetically;), would a gallon can of gas fly off into the bushes when I take that corner hard? How serious is the weight issue? What would happen if I were to inadvertently overgross my side compartments by, say 5 pounds? I plan to...

Riding alone in remote areas - essentials?

My post about "600-mi service" has led me astray. What maintenance, survival and comfort items do you feel are essential for traveling on back roads in not-heavily populated areas? I picked up some great ideas from my previous post. Sarah

    600-mi service - advice?

I'm going to drive down to Vancouver, BC, early Weds AM for "Tas's" (short for Tasmanian Devil) 600-mile service. I would like advice as to what I should learn about Tas's personal maintenance and mods. I live in a small town where people had never seen a (red) RT-S SE5 and I will be traveling...
