• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2015 Honda NM4

Ooooh if only I could physically ride 2 wheels!! It also offers the DCT transmission. It'd be like living out a Batman fantasy :-) "The Honda NM4 (NM stands for "New Motorcycle") is styled along "Japanimation" lines, and though the cult anime/manga bodywork is no doubt challenging to the eye of...

    Shock-Tek gloves!

I've got some nerve issues in my right hand and opted for the grip buddies but still had some substantial discomfort after rides > 30 minutes with my normal Fly Racing gloves. I found and purchases the Shock-Tek MC6020 gloves (http://www.shocktek.com/products_rec_mc6020.html) and am super happy...

    U-Turn for ALTMOST Skills Test

My wife and I were practicing for our skills test today using the guide found http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-training/motorcycle-test/. We did pretty well with most everything;however it mentions for the right u-turn that the Spyder would need to make the u-turn within a 24' wide box...

Cardo Scala Rider Q1 Teamset Review & Question

My wife and I sold our Scala Rider Teamset Pro headset system recently. At first we were going to upgrade helmets with integrated bluetooth until we found out the systems Nolan and HJC use are super pricey and the battery life on the Hawk helmet system is only 4 hours talk time. Since we ride...

Love my new GloRyders and Tricled lights

Thanks to some bonus money this winter, I had to take GloRyder up on the discount for the new version of their Spyder 3-piece set (in polished). I was only a little disappointed to see they only had a Jedi logo available. This just wouldn't do. As an ardent supporter I had to have the Galatic...

Brake Pads & Newbie Driving Habits

Just brought my '12 RT-S in for the lube on the belt bulletin to help reduce some squeal. The tech mentioned that with 2,700 some odd miles were braking a bit much and the pads will likely need to be replaced at the 4,500 mile service. I asked whether they were dragging and he said that was his...

    Mini Trailer and 2012 RT

I picked up a BRP hitch and module cheap from a dealer going out of business. I was looking at buy the Nomad trailer from our sponsor Mini Trailer USA. I poured over the site and archives and want to make sure I have some sort of grasp on what I need since I am a COMPLETE novice with trailers...

    Finally! Volt Gauge Installed

After a misfire on my first gauge being too long, I opted for the EVO Digital series from Prosportgauges (http://prosportgauges.com/evo-series-Red-and-Blue.aspx) because it's actually shorter than the replaced BRP gauge. So, I knew it'd fit no problem. Two wires to the existing accessory power...

    2014 Radiator Protection

This may have been asked and answered somewhere where I missed it, but, what sort of protection is there for the radiator/fan combination in the front of the 2014s? I can see a large enough rock falling from god knows were and whizzing right up an intake on the front. Is there are substantive...

Volt Meter Bolt Mounting Alignment Mismatch

I was looking to replace my right gauge with a volt meter. I actually bought one, but it was too long. On top of that, I noticed the mounting bolts are at 9 and 3 whereas the Spyder's mounting bracket has the holes at 12 and 6. So, if I replace my gauge with the right depth gauge, how do I get...

Great USB Power Adapter Mounting Solution

My wife and I had previously installed a Blue Sea Dual USB Charger (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0082CXEI8/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) but it wasn't really a visually appealing setup since the charger isn't a 52mm gauge size. I came across JT's Spyder accessories site and...

    Do these actually work?

Ever the skeptic, I was curious when I saw these. Never heard of such a thing. I'm not interested in buying them as I'm using Ride On, just more curious if they are legit...

Beeping while shifting & pop while using signal

Had the strangest thing happen out of the blue today. My wife and I took our 2012 RT-S SE5 with 1993 miles on it out to the Great River Road in Illinois. We were riding for about 3 hours total when on the way home hit a red light. When we took off and shifted into 2nd (28mph or so) there was a...

    UltraGard Half Cover

I learned two things over this holiday weekend: We need rain gear. The missus and I got caught out in a torrential downpour. On the plus side, it was the first time we road in the rain. The Spyder handled phenomenally. Our new cranberry Ultragard half cover worked great! For just shy of $40...

    Farkle Fingers!

I recall a while back there was a thread on using gloves with capacitive devices like phone and GPS. I came across these today while look at the night-time riding jacket they sell: http://www.adaptivtechnologies.com/adaptiv_store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=81&products_id=244...

    Fog Light Out

Hey all! I've got a '12 RTS with just shy of 600mi. I've noticed that my left fog light bulb (if sitting on bike) is out. I called the dealer saying that it had stopped working between 200-300 miles and I wanted to let them know since I may not go in for my 600mi service until early Spring. The...

    Super Shark Grip Buddies

Well after a little over two months of healing from my broken wrist, the doc released me to drive again. Of course I didn't care about that. My quick followup was, "What about getting back to my Spyder?!" Thankfully, everything was a go. it appears being plated and held together with screws...

    Going Spyder(less) crazy

4 weeks go I tripped going down the TWO!!! (:cus:) stairs into my garage when my wife and I were leaving for work. As I was sitting up, I notice that the wrist was .5" in the wrong location :( A panicked trip to the ER (thank God my wife was there to help me) and I got the news that I broke the...

    Stupid Turn Signals

I don't get why BRP didn't make the switch like a car's stalk so the switch clicks either left or right and stays there unit you either turn or your just click it back to center. Heck, I'd kill to have that dumb little nub be able to be pushed down to cancel the turn signal (like setting the...
