• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Battery access

My 19 F3L has a dead battery. Is it accessed by pulling the frunk out? Do those plastic rivets just break off?

    Whale, hail!

Ok, I went ahead and bought an Ultimate seat for my 19 F3L. It is better than stock, but... This weekend I took the F3 down to the dealer for annual maintenance and picked up the wife's 16 RT. Two up both ways. After about 100 mile round trip, about 50 on each one, my butt likes the stock seat...

F3L Driver seat - any more comfortable options?

Seems like this doesn't have much in the way of give. Don't want to lose the feeling of sitting down in the bike, but are there better/more comfortable seat replacements?

    Ultimate F3 Floorboards

My legs do not like to be kept in one position too long. My old RT (2012) had the Seal floorboards and the ability to move around some really made a difference in riding. The only floorboards I can find that seem long enough to move your feet around looks like the Ultimate F3 Floorboards. I have...

Is there a trick to setting the FM radio presets on a 19 F3L?

Hope this isn't out of range of discussion

Just got my wife through the three wheel rider training that Can Am has been subsidizing. Unsurprisingly, it looks like we will be becoming a 2 Spyder family. Joyce has suggested that it might be a good idea to get helmets with some type of communication device. Neither of us are real tech...

    Anyone checked?

Haven't been here for a while, but just got to wondering, which can be dangerous. I am somewhat broad and deep and was just wondering, (there's that word again), has anyone ever checked the mileage on a 3 cylinder RT to see if there is a difference between stock windshield all the way up vs all...

    After 5 years

Riding my 2012 RT-S SE5, I decided to modernize a bit and bought a 2016 RT-S SE6. I loved my 2012, but with every ride, I like this one better!

    2016 RT Owners manual

Has a section describing a 600 mile break in period. Then it says, "After the break-in period, your vehicle should be inspected as per the MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE subsection." The first maintenance in the schedule is at 3000 miles. Should it be inspected at 600 miles, or wait until you get to 3000?

    Seeking opinions

I have a 2012 RT-S that I got so my wife and I could go riding. I've retired, but she's still got a couple years to go, and I'm concerned that the 2012 might be a little ragged by that time. I don't know that I'll be able to go brand new, so I'm asking for opinions on best value newer RT-S.

Question: F3/RT seating position vs my spine?

I've got some physical issues, not as bad as some, but they are/can be a pain. Primarily lower back/butt and shoulder, they seem to keep my rides shorter than I'd like. I've been riding Burp, a 2012 RT-S for 4 years now and had 3 different seats, with/without Air Hawk, and a sheepskin, but...

    Burp wanted company

I got Burp right after Spyderfest 2012. We made the next three, 13, 14, and 15. I made the decision not to go this year so that when I retire, I'll get a bigger chunk, (minus taxes) to start with. Burp had other plans, when he found out that he wasn't going to be able to go, he decided to...

    First ride of the year

Heard Burp hollerin' that it was 40 degrees and we needed to go! Only out for about an hour and my knees were cold, but got out for a while anyway, weather guessers are not saying nice things about tonight/tomorrow.

    May be losing it...

OK, probably losing it, but I thought that there was a maintenance requirement that was only recommended if the Spyder is run over 6K RPM more than 10% of the time. Is/Was this real or did one of my nightmares load to my brain's hard drive?

    Got to have priorities

Just down the road aways I saw a 13 RTS SE for sale, called him up and he said that he bought Spyder and new car about the same time and spouse is encouraging him to pick one. Seems that he's confused and picked the car. I've got a phone number if anyone wants it.

Rode to the Little Apple yesterday

Beautiful day for a ride, went out 24 all the way. Visited a friend and came back, actually saw one other Spyder on the way back. Red RT, two up just west of Topeka. Got to see a lot of the preps for small town Americans prepping for 4th of July celebrations.

    Got the Check engine light

Yesterday and today. Yesterday was as I was backing into garage, light came on and then went off. Today when slowing for stop sign, came on and again went off. Anything I should be checking?

    Against the wind

When I got my Spyder, the dealer gave it too me with the stock shocks set at 3. It scared the fecal matter out of me riding home wrestling the wind and truck turbulence. After reading more here, I took it back and had the shocks preloaded to 5 (appropriate for my weight) and made it much...
