• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yep. It turns out it is only about 50 miles from home. I had no idea! So, a quick 100 mile ride in perfect 75 F degree sunshine.

Having a blast, but have you noticed these Spyders Take an Effort To Ride?!

Twisties are nothing when you get the Spyder set up well. I put a BajaRon swaybar and shocks on, as well a Vredestein tires and it runs thru the curves almost effortlessly. You don't have to make constant steering changes when the body stays on top the supension and the tires stay on the road...

Too hot to ride, or maybe I’m just getting old

Yep, it is cooler here, mid 80's-mid 90's, but I've got so I ride first thing in the morning before it heats up too much. Usually leave by 7 am.

Anybody using an aluminum frame enclosed trailer to tow their Spyder?

We haul my husband's Triumph Tiger 900GT and my F3-T in a Neo Trailer, Model NAV714. His bike goes in the front with a chock and 4 ties down rings. Mine goes behind it with E-Track chocks and over the wheel tie downs. You do need "add on" ramps to decrease the ramp/trailer angle so the Spyder...

What is the 'ideal' Ride Height? Should the front shocks be biased toward more clearance or less?

THANK YOU! I adjusted my ride height to approximately 3-7/8". It improved the handling over the 3-5/8" height and allowed me to "plush" the ride a bit more. These shocks are so dramatically better than the stock shocks I can't begin to find enough superlatives to describe them. We're heading...

What is the 'ideal' Ride Height? Should the front shocks be biased toward more clearance or less?

I know that CanAm (and aftermarket shock resellers) say that you should have 3-1/2" to 4" from the ground to i-beam in the front, with rider and gear. My question is what is "ideal"? Should they be biased toward more clearance or less? At least in my world, a half an inch seems like a huge margin.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Made little mount hooks that use the rear passenger grab handle boss. I always ride solo, so the grab handles have been off the F3-T since I bought it. We're leaving on a trip soon and I want to carry a small Kimoto top box on my passenger seat, so I made the hook. Took a ride quick 60 mile...

How many miles do you have on your Spyder?

My Ryker, which I owned three years had just over 28,000 when I traded it in November 2025. The F3-T I replaced it with now has 8972 (7/11/2026)

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

I've got new boots! To many, it may seem like overkill, but I ended up with the Forma Adventure Dry Low. I like the easy on/off buckles and Velcro and they are very comfortable. Probably leftover from my 2 wheel days, but I'm just not comfortable wearing boots without ankle guards. Fit...

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

Well, The Forma Glider Lady Dry arrived, but didn't workout as it was too tight at the ankle and offered no adjustability. They are kindly exchanging them for a pair of Adventure Low Dry that should arrive Monday. Hopefully they'll work for me.

New Update to BRP GO! app - April 2024

I quit using the BRP products ages ago. I choose to navigate with my Android phone and an app called DMD2. There is a free version that is plenty for my needs and there is a web based planner so I can plan my routes on a laptop. My work flow is: Plan route on laptop --> Export GPX --> Move to...

Any Suggestions for new Riding Footwear?

Thank you for all the replies. I'm going to stick with Motorcycle specific boots for now. I currently have a pair by Milwaukee Leather. They've worn very well, but definitely not waterproof. I'll look into the brands/models mentioned. Keep the replies coming!
