• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just sold my Harley and have follow up questions

I have purchased two Spyders and a Slingshot from private sellers! All good experiences, AND I didn't have to pay the ridiculous DOC fees, prep fees, and all the other bullcrap fees they tack on! In each case, I was able to get exactly what I wanted, and a fair price. One came off Facebook...

Thinking of switching to a Spyder, any others jumped from their Harley's to Spyders? Any advice welcome...

You won't regret it! I looked at the Harleys Tri-Glide, thought it was a piece of crap. Thought the Goldwing might be the way to go. Went to a Can-Am dealership to look at a Goldwing they had, lady gave me a Spyder brochure, once I read it, I've had two! The safety engineering they put into...

Been Away but Back after Back Surgery and a Fun Lake Superior Circle Tour

You aren't looking for advice, however, I'm going to give you some. It's been 10 years now since my back surgery. I'll not forget my surgeon telling me, " if you don't want to see me again, DO NOT reach out away from your body and try to pick ANYTHING up!" I haven't, and no problems since...

After 3 years of planning, I am riding Route 66 starting June 8

I saw where a guy and his daughter are leaving Utah, heading for Santa Monica Pier, and doing the entire Route 66 Eastbound on a Spyder!

Question for all, and BRP - why is there not a dip stick mark for the correct oil level in a cold Spyder engine?

Ron, not trying to start an argument sir! We have a YardMan with Honda 160cc engine. Not sure how many hours, it's about 10 years old. The oil in it looks like the day it was new. I suspect that when I change the oil in the Briggs and Stratton, that it will be black after an hour! Lol

    Looking for a Spyder owner.

Hi folks, I have lost touch with a guy that probably has the most patriotic Spyder and Trailer in the United States. I know he lives somewhere between Charlotte and Greenville South Carolina. It has all five services as well as the MIA-POW insignia on it. It is either black or charcoal in...

After 3 years of planning, I am riding Route 66 starting June 8

I strongly recommend stopping by the Amboy Crater in California. It's on Route 66 near Amboy. You can actually park and walk a mile or so to the top of the Crater and down into the center. I stood on the top once about 40 years ago and watched fighter jets doing range practice many miles to the...

Is there any way to remove the Ryker's power limiter?

Just how fast was that truck going that you barely got around it?

Spyderlovers is the best forum I've ever seen!

Hi folks, most know that we sold the Spyder last year and bought a Slingshot. Loved the Spyder, however, wanted to ride holding hands. I still visit the site daily, a ton of knowledge here, and I help when I can. Especially concerning tires. All that said, we are involved in numerous Slingshot...

I've got a bent front wheel - any idea where to buy a new one?

No disrespect to you sir, however, the kendas were every bit as bad as the reputation they got! In case you haven't seen my take on the kendas, when I put Vredesteins on two different RT's, the ride and handling improved by 100 percent, ESPECIALLY in the rain. BRP could and should have put...

    Something new in helmets!

The question is this; would it ever be dot approved?

I've got a bent front wheel - any idea where to buy a new one?

No disrespect sir. It's still a kenda! In 18 years, they haven't impressed anyone!

Is there a Preheating system for the Spyder RT? Any recommendations?

In over 6 or 7 years with Spyders, I've never seen this come up. Respectfully, me thinks that you are overthinking a problem that doesn't matter. Crank it up and go.

Yes it’s the age old tire question… What's currently the best replacement?

I'm sorry, I sold it last year. Other folks can confirm the sizes. Most tire dealers, (not Can-Am dealers) will do the fronts. You'll probably have to take the rear tire off and take it to them.

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

Thanks Ron, I really appreciate you!

Anyone else fitted one of these Handlebar Brake Conversions? Having problems setting it up, need help/advice.

When I took my Spyder course, (highly recommended), one of the modules was to get up to speed in the parking lot and then floor the brake pedal! They wanted us to see that the Spyder could take any amount of pressure on the brake, and that it would STOP, and stop fast! It took most of us 5 or 6...

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

Is there a synopsis for folks that don't want to spend 20 minutes watching this please?

First time ride on my Spyder today - I think I'm gonna like it!

I recall that the less of a 'death grip' I had on the handle bars, the better I got!

First time ride on my Spyder today - I think I'm gonna like it!

If you can get into a Spyder course, do it! I learned a lot more than I expected I would!
