• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What is the best Location for an RT on a 7 x 14 dual axle trailer? How far ahead of the front axle should I mount the chocks?

I would load it till the front goes down a bit, that's a double axle trailer, chock the tires and hook it down and take it for a ride down the road and see how it hauls, then make your adjustments from that, if it doesn't wag down the road you got it right! Then if you are loading anything else...

    Canyon Carving on a Canyon

I haven't had the chance to ride one yet, but just looking at it. I will say that it looks like they put a decent set of shocks under it. It has some good features on it, the only thing it's missing is a shaft drive system. It's not a pretty girl, but it would grow on you if you let it! 🙃

Had a dead battery that threw a check engine light & Code U0155!! How do I clear the light? Do I need BUDS?

It's not my bike, it's my friend's bike, a 2012 RTL! He passed away this past fall and I have been trying to help his wife. She's trying to get as much as she can out the bike, unfortunately, the price just got a lot lower!

@Snoking1127 hit the nail on the head, Paste has always worked for me! (y) (y) (y) And using EBC rotors will put the topping on the cake in my book! ;)

Had a dead battery that threw a check engine light & Code U0155!! How do I clear the light? Do I need BUDS?

I took the bike to the shop and BUDS found high resistance in the wiring harness and a bad SAS sensor! If it had been just the sensor that's not too bad, an hours labor plus parts, but the wiring harness took that job right into a parts machine!! Oh and the SAS part has been...

Betwixt and Bewildered - how do I get the codes off a 2008 GS?

Hey, if it makes you feel better, my friend was just quoted a wiring harness and replacing the SAS for $3000! You had a lot more work done on yours. Happy trails, glad you got it going!

Solved! How do I go to manual suspension on my RT?

Any big truck store will have the fittings and hose, I got mine at NAPA! It's the same air lines and couplings used on any brake system. I have done it two ways, by just unhooking at the dump valve and putting a coupling in between, or by putting a long line between the bag and Schrader valve...

Solved! How do I go to manual suspension on my RT?

49-52 - Trust me, you will not regret doing the swap, you will not miss it a bit! All you have to do is find the right pressure for your set up! And if you change the rear shock out to an aftermarket set up, then you will be able to let out most of the air out of it and use it as an overload...

Solved! How do I go to manual suspension on my RT?

All you need to do is hook the Schrader valve to the bag and unhook the dump valve. Easy as pie, altho if you want to dig all the other stuff out, you can. I think I removed the dump valve itself, just because it gave me more room to get to the hoses from the bag and unhook the schrader valve...

Roadster Renovations Air Bag Armour (Nb: Doc is No longer active on this site!)

You have dug up a thread from 2018 & a member we haven't seen since then too!!! Maybe you should give us some info on what's going on with your bike and why do you want to gut the bag out! Taking it out isn't too bad, taking the rear tire out will give you better access to your victim. More info...

Does this Belt Tensioner Idler Stabilizer Roller look familiar? Are any parts (Rollers) interchangeable??

There has been more than one OEM arm snap, being a plastic piece of crap, so if you think you need the unit, I would save up and get one from Lamont, arm and roller together in one happy package!! Or maybe try to take it off and see if you can live without it, that's what I am planning on doing...

Anyone know of a source for a 2010 RT brake cable? Or any alternatives that will fit?

If the wheel is going to the stop, then it's what I thought, but remember, like Doug said, when you put new pads in you have to readjust the system! He, unlike myself, has found the right combo to put links to great information on this site!! Good luck, it's not that hard once you have done it once!
