• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Newbie needing advice on adjusting the drive belt alignment - anyone?

Try counterclockwise. Spin the tire by hand. You should see the results right away.

Any advice on adjusting toe on the front wheels? Is the job doable without BUDS?

I have another machine that uses the same kind of belt. If I lose one or two teeth, it never lets you know it. But lose more, and you'll know it immediately. You'll find yourself dead in the water, so to speak. I don't know of any other way to prevent that other than a visual check, and that...

Any advice on adjusting toe on the front wheels? Is the job doable without BUDS?

Yep, align your belt on the sprocket, then align the front. Keep in mind that the rear tire will be replaced several times before you ever replace that belt. Unless, of course, you did as I did and stuck a rock through your belt. If your belt is badly misaligned, you may well smell it long...

Blackstone Results for Amsoil 5W40 Metric Oil in my 2022 RT S2S

Years ago, in my Harley days, I had time and desire to research oil(s). I was changing out to gear-operated cams, and one gear had the pin mark right between the tooth and the valley. So which way do it go? I don't know. So I called the supplier. Very nice guy, and he said, "Yes, I've had that...

Blackstone Results for Amsoil 5W40 Metric Oil in my 2022 RT S2S

Using the same oil as you and have been changing at 10K with good analysis results. Think I'm going to try 12K next change and see what the analysis says.

Any advice on adjusting toe on the front wheels? Is the job doable without BUDS?

I had Joe and Ann, who owned Squared Away, align my spyder years ago. It came from the dealer with (if I recall correctly) a right front wheel 2 1/4" out of alignment. They showed me their findings and why my tire was wearing more than the other one. Many dealers don't do alignments during...

Any useful comments or suggestions to help reduce back pain while riding 2023 F3-T - Short Reach Handlebars maybe?

Years ago, and not with a Spyder, I had back issues with my new 650 Kawasaki. A friend of mine lent me a high-rise elastic back support with two vertical metal supports. I used it for a couple of months, and all my back issues went away, and I didn't need the support any longer. Why? Not really...

Anyone have any audio of an RLS Cat delete with a Shark rumble?

You're NEVER going to EVER reproduce that Harley Evo rumble from anything other than a Harley Evo. Never!

Anyone going back and forth from their Spyder to a motorcycle?

Got rid of all my 2-wheelers except two. My IT 400 mono shocker, which resides on a milk crate now forever, and a jewel I came across years ago. An original Tote Goat. If you fly off the mono shocker, it's a long way to the ground, but if you flip off the Tote Goat, it still hurts, but you are...

    Proper break-in on new Spyder

Stopped and fueled up a couple of hundred miles from home with 4 other riding buddies when it started sprinkling. You could, without a doubt, see it coming. So we crossed the street for a cup of Jo and suited up. About the time other customers finished laughing at us, you could actually hear it...

Newbie asking for feedback and advice - Any thoughts or advice regarding buying a 2011 RT-S? What are the most popular tires for it?

With over 50 years of riding under your belt, you may be somewhat experienced with twisting nuts and bolts; however, this CanAm Spyder is a new beast on the scene and involves knowledge of electronics and computers because Spyders are full of that crap. Almost all the problems and complaints on...

Oil level over limit - does the factory or dealer do this?

Is it like 1/4" over, or like a quart over?

Oil level over limit - does the factory or dealer do this?

If it's just over it, that's no biggie. But if, for some reason, you can't tell how far, dampen the end of the dipstick in water. Then check it. The wet stick will help indicate the oil level. If that doesn't work, wrap a small amount of black tape around the stick above the full mark to create...

Oil level over limit - does the factory or dealer do this?

How much do you have to pump out? How far over full does the stick show?

Is this High milage? What should I expect?

100K+ if you're nice to it. Many of the wearables will need to be replaced long before the engine goes south on you.

Fobo TPMS (4) on my Spyder - Want to add 2 Fobo TPMS on my trailer - any hints/suggestions?

Don't know what you mean by "2 different profiles"? I have 4 FOBOs on my spyder & 2 on the trailer. From the main screen on my cellphone, I swipe left to the next screen and add the two trailer sensors. Set their parameters, and that's that. Done.

Trailering the Spyder - could use some tips on fastening it down?

Kinda hard to secure on a flat hard surface like your son's trailer. The rear tire is easy. Wrap around and criss-cross. Rather than securing to any portion of the front suspension with any excessive pressure, I'd consider attaching to the foot pad supports. I have Super Chocks, and the only...
