• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Transfering onto Spyder RS & collapsing the wheelchair and attaching it to the givi

Nothing beats independance... I also transfer and mount my chair similar with one leg on each side of the Spyder. I recommend that after you transfer to use a belt to strap you onto the Spyder while you hang the WC. This will keep you on the Spyder while you reach low and not fall off. I have...

the pro and cons of se5 or sm5

To beat a dead horse a different way, I have the SE-5 because I'm paralyzed and cannot use the foot shift. But the better result is my wife (who never rode a motorcycle her whole life -52 years) now drives the Spyder because it's easy and fun to drive. Good luck with whatever you choose. Be safe

    Emergency Spyder Owners List

I broke down recently at a friends house. I was lucky I could leave it there till I could resolve my issue. I was thinking, what if I were many miles away and not near a Can Am Dealer. Is there a list of Spyder Owners that would take in another if they broke down within a certain radius of their...

2011 RS w/1500 miles wont start - troubleshooted and resolved.

Went for a short drive, picked up a friend as a passenger for 15 minute ride. After the ride I shut off the bike it would not start. Turn the key, full instrument lights and no error. When I pressed the M+ Starter button - Nothing. Everyone recommends battery terminals. I removed and...

    Massachusetts ryders

Here in Canton I know it's late in the season, but there still could be some meeting up if possible. And/or plan for some rides in the spring. I'm a new rider to the fold. 2011 white RS SE-5 with a bunch of modifications. Only 1300 miles so far but always looking to add more. Maahhk

    White 2011 RS SE5 for a T-10 of 37 years

Sorry Sorry I have not been able to post any further info, pictures or video. On 8/22/11 I broke my leg and battled pneumonia at the same time. I have not been on the Spyder in the last 7 weeks. The bummer is I was at the point of driving further with each ride. It kills me to think I only put...

    Handicapped Spyder Ryders.....Roll call!

Mount for folding WC I'm not sure if your the one who contacted me in regards to a wheelchair mount for the Spyder? Unfortunately I broke my leg and it has delayed the final phase of creating a more universal mount for a folding wheelchair onto an RS or RS S. I should be back on my Spyder...

    Phantom 540 - Accident - Roll over

Wow My heart was pounding while I read your story. I am very happy you are OK. You have taught us all some very valuable lessons. To dress with protection and check, double check and triple check anything that is attached, strapped and fastened to the Spyder. Take nothing for granted. Best of...

    White 2011 RS SE5 for a T-10 of 37 years

Still improving Almost 1000 miles already. I love it. Still working out all the finite details to safety, comfort and accessibility. We tweaked the steel tube pipe rack that was installed on the Spyder. I believe that mounting a folding WC takes little effort compared to lifting an entire rigid...

    White 2011 RS SE5 for a T-10 of 37 years

Belt and tabs My belt goes around the backrest and my waist. This keeps by body from sliding. I'm a complete t-10, no feeling or ability to move. Knees are fine. KGS made custom tabs for the floorboards. Needed only one on the left side. 3 on the right, one one the outside, one in the back to...
