• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RT Seating Opinions

I want to get some opinions regarding seats on the RT. I would like the opinion of those that are at least 6 feet tall and 260+ pounds. I frequently carry a passenger so I would prefer an option that doesn't limit passenger room. I am also considering options like Motorcycle Dave's gel insert.

    Ryker Ykester!!!

Three cents After reading many of the posts in this thread I figured i would throw in my three cents. The way I see it is BRP is the parent company, Can-Am is the brand, Spyder, Ryker, etc are the models with different trim levels under the models. A Ryker is not a Spyder. Sure they are both...

    Tire Size Help Needed

The reason your 205 looks skinnier than the factory is because it is 20mm skinnier. Factory width tire is a 225.

why would chrysler/fiat redesign an existing vehicle...

I think the very first article that was linked is probably the more correct article. I could see them limiting the trim options. I will alsoo say that the article doesn't necessarily say the Journey will not continue after 2019. They say it returns for one more model year. That could mean it...

    Question about handling....

I would most definitely check the air pressure in the tires. When I first rode mine it was doing as you described, shifting back and forth in the lane. I got the same advice about not gripping so tight, which is good advice; but it may be something more. When I checked my tires my fronts had...

why would chrysler/fiat redesign an existing vehicle...

Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram are not on their way out. Like the other "American" car companies they are focusing on SUV, trucks, and minivans. Ford is making the same move. GM employees that build the Malibu aren't even working full time because sales are down. Has nothing to do with so called...

    14 RT issues

My GF has a 2012 RT SM-5 and I have a 2013 RT SE-5. We both filled up before heading out on a ride and filled up when we returned. I used just a little more gas than she did, but I also outweigh her.

What size auto tires is everyone running?

Thank you everyone for the great responses! I think RudyB probably put it best and I'm overthinking the whole thing, but better safe than sorry.

What size auto tires is everyone running?

Deanna, are you running that size rear tire to compensate for the larger diameter fronts?

What size auto tires is everyone running?

Thank you for the reply. I searched the Vulcan tire site but cannot locate a 165/55r15. Does a slightly larger diameter affect the VSS system? I did not know how much "play" they build into the system. Didn't want the system to think I am constantly losing traction.

What size auto tires is everyone running?

Is everyone so afraid of tires they cannot say "hey CJ I'm running a 165/60r15" or whatever it is you have on your Spyder? I don't need twine to figure the diameter. I also asked if slight variances in diameter affect the Spyder's safety systems. Twine won't answer that question either. I'm not...

What size auto tires is everyone running?

I didn't ask anything about pressure. I asked about size considering most manufacturers do not offer tires in the size 165/55r15. I see people talk about their Yokohama, Kumho, Federal, etc I am asking the SIZE of the tires. I have read enough about tire pressure I have my own opinion of what I...

What size auto tires is everyone running?

I have read several threads regarding tires and many of you are running car tires. I see a lot of people throwing out the brands they are running but not the sizes they are running. I have also noticed it is no secret that the 165/55r15 size is very limited across the brands. I have found a few...

    Side panel escape

Grandpot, thank you for the pics. I just may do this same thing. My panel got some scuffs but it isn't completely trashed. I just don't want to have to pay so much attention to my panels that it takes away from the ride.

    Side panel escape

While on a ride this past Saturday I decided a vehicle I was following was travelling a little to slow. I dropped my Spyder a gear or two, cranked the throttle open, moved into the next lane passing over rumble strips, and overtook the vehicle I was previously following. I checked my side mirror...

    Got a Spyder

The 2013 RT-S is the one I just purchased. The other RT is my gf's 2012 that she purchased about a month ago. She also has less than 3000 miles. We are definitely looking forward to putting some miles on these things.

    Got a Spyder

Finally found a Spyder. Picked up a 2013 RT-S with less than 3000 miles on it.

    Finally got my license

Hey Blue, sorry for the late response. Yes the skills test can be taken on the Can-Am but they do it on the normal motorcycle course. There was a couple of times I wondered if the course lines and cones were going to be wide enough for the Spyder to fit through, but all was well. Good luck on...

    Finally got my license

So I decided, with a bit of pushing from my GF, to take my written and skills test so I can legally ride and test drive Spyders. In Missouri they still put the motorcycle "M" endorsement on your license but restrict it with another designation so I am only legal to operate three wheel...
