• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Front Wheel Alignment

Thanks Lindsay for your input. The Jig was made from your recommendations. I'm an average rider at about 200 lbs. My toe in on the left side seems to be .75 inches. By your calculation I need to get that down to .420 or 7/16 of an inch at the target to the rear. That should translate to...

If I make these corrections and until I get it to the dealer to be hooked up on BUDS am I going to get error codes on the dash. Or is it going to effect the operation in any way.

    Front Wheel Alignment

I'm going to nail this down a little more next week when the dealer owner and Sales manager get back from vacation. Last week I talked to the Spyder service guru when I complained to him about the way my wife's yellow RTS was handling and found that the rear wheel was a little out of alignment...

So... checking with http://www.spydercomfort.com/ I find that there may exist information from BRP On 3/25/14 BRP issues a service bulletin to their dealers named Roadster alignment specifications, number 2014-6. In this bulletin BRP endorses The True Laser Track patented Laser System and...

    Front Wheel Alignment

I've been studying a procedure from Lindsay Whipp for making the jig that is attached to the front wheels of the Spyder and attaching Laser levels to the Jig. I had to adjust measurements to fit my RT but made a jig from 1/2 inch cabinet grade plywood. Rare earth magnets epoxied to bolts and...

First New rear tire - now seems Twitchy in turns

My wife has a 2013 RTS and was in need of tires all around. She went to the dealer and got a new Kenda for the rear but reported that at highway speed the spyder felt a little twitchy. A few days later I put on new Forenza's on the front and took it out for a test ride and seems like the...

Want to help start a list and get BURPS (BRP) attention on how to improve???

So I'm not wanting to beat a dead horse and I don't want to sound like I'm whining about issues and that being said I admit I don't have a lot of experience with a Can Am.. First one was a 2013 RTS and now have a 2018 RT. Prior to that owned a 1972 Honda 500-4, a 1976 Goldwing, 1999 Helix, 2001...

Want to help start a list and get BURPS (BRP) attention on how to improve???

Karine, I got out a pair of sena 20s headsets and paired it to the RT radio, set the speakers to headset and NOTHING. The sound out put never mutes like it would do if I was playing music from my phone. The minute it pairs the audio goes to the head set. Not so with the can am radio. And...

    2018 RT AUDIO SYSTEM SUCKS!!!

@billybovine Thanks for the great tutorial about the FM Radio. Why BRP keeps directions for operation so secret is beyond me. There was a heat problem with the 2013 models of rt and my wife had one of those that burned her leg on the right side. After enough complaints BRP fixed the...

    2018 RT AUDIO SYSTEM SUCKS!!!

Before my 2018 RT L I had a 2004 Goldwing with radio than the Spyder. The new Goldwing radio is way ahead of BRP. What would have been so hard in adding FM to the bike bluetooth. My head set can pair with my phone and I get music, iheartradio, xm radio, and phone. I've turned the Spyder...

    2018 RT AUDIO SYSTEM SUCKS!!!

BRP HITS FOUL BALL I agree. BRP hit a foul ball as far as I'm concerned. Bought the limited and no gps. Now you have to us BRP connect. When dealer asked about adding FM signal to bluetooth BRP said I could turn the volume up. I get better music and better radio stations using iheartradio...

    2018 Dash Software Update

I've given up on the bluetooth connection with the Spyders FM Radio... Not going to happen unless BMP does another firmware upgrade. I've paired my Cardo packtrack bold to my phone and then using the iheartradio app can listen to just about anything I want. The Cardo has 2 bluetooth channels...
