• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

When ryding with non spyders... how do they treat you?

Wow, I've noticed the same thing. On 2 wheels, all you contend with is what is right in your path. Maybe a dip. But on the 3 wheels, there is allot of side to side motion on most roads that are not perfectly flat. I really noticed this on roads with a crown. I'm new to a Spyder, and not yet...

Oh no...wife said she preferred taking the GL1800 instead........

We are doing a ride up into Ohio for a few days July 6-8. Hocking Hills, Amish Country, and our central Ohio Hometown areas. We will be riding with good friends for which we have rode our Goldwings together on several trips. Now that I have the Spyder, I planned to ride it, of course. I still...

Riding on Code Red Heat Days

Hey Bob & Bone Crusher: I too am T1 for 35 years. Riding in heat can be an issue, fortunately, I've not had issues yet. Always drink allot of cold diet soda or water while riding, and seek cool rest spots. Favorite when riding in hot weather is a cool stream to put your hot feet in. Ahhhhh.

Spyder wreck in Central Ohio Monday

This is so sad. A prayer goes forward for them, and the families. God Bless their souls. We just sent off a wonderful young couple back to Ohio that came to visit us on their motorcycles. We went on some nice rides here in KY with them yesterday. They both ride, and the lady is the daughter of...

Have you crashed on the road?

I am very fortunate, and never really have had a road crash. Worst road tumble was when my son (at the time 15 years old) was riding with me. We had one of those perfect early spring days, and went for a couple hour ride. After some time on a great back road, I came upon a upward sweeping T in...

    Spyder article

I can relate to much of what is being said. The Spyder has it positives and some negatives over the 2 wheeler. But I'm enjoying the Spyder. Can't relate to the high speed issue on the RT. About 75 - 80 MPH is as fast as I care to drive mine. A fair amount of turbulence is an issue at highway speeds.

    Vanity Plates

3RYDER I'll post a picture when it arrives. KY has a great site where you can type in what you want, and it tells you if it's available. I think it was $20 extra.

Based on the wording, I believe it was an insult. However, your reply was perfect. He probably was looking for a smart a** reply. Can I use Windex as a cleaner for the w/shield and body panels?

No Windex anywhere near my bike. Maybe on the car windshield, but no where else. Only high quality products designed for cleaning all that tupperware, fake chrome, and plexi wind screen.

WHERE TO ORDER 3RD BRAKELIGHT FOR RT ?

ESI unit with dual hook up harness took me about 1 hour start to finish. That included staring at the wires for quite a while, plus removing the lower real black plastic cover to locate the bikes connector. I'm not keen on taking much apart, but this install was pretty simple, and results were...

    i wanna ride with shorts

:agree:Been there, done that. Bee right up my shorts, thigh.......... (and beyond ). Stung me more than once, and I unloaded myself from a BMW K1200LT faster than anyone that has stopped from 65 MPH and dismounted in history. Thank goodness for the anti-lock brakes, even back in 2000...

    Anybody know where to get..

So....you came up with the name Murphy Brown, and had no idea of the TV show "Murphy Brown"? That is kind of funny. I guess I always saw your posts, and enjoyed them, but I assumed you had a tie in to Candace Bergman. I used to watch the show, and whenever I see Candace, I relate her back to...
