• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Blue RT.....new one for us

My wife and I have finally decided to get a blue RT next week. We will be getting rid of our RS's. I drove an RT for 300 miles a few weeks ago and went on two rides today taking turns riding and driving. If anyone has a blue one a pic would be nice to see.

    Disappointment

My wife and I drive RS's. We are planning on getting an RT. I had an opportunity to drive the dealer's RT about 300 miles a few weeks ago. We went there today and drove a paddle version. We went on two 18 mile test drives with varied speeds and terrain. We took turns riding and driving. We found...

    Spyder Bitten in Arizona

welcome My wife and I each got one in December. I have 3500 miles on mine and use it for everything. We got rid of our truck and are now a 2 spyder 1 car family. You will absolutely love it. We did some mods on ours to set them up more for touring. We use raised handle bars, forward pegs and...

    Carrying a radio controlled plane

I was thinking of that too. Only 3 feet protrudes out the back and I think that is legal. The plane has florescent orange on it and should be easy to see. I remove the extension by pulling a hitch pin as soon as I am done transporting. The flag is a good idea.

    Carrying a radio controlled plane

I have corbin seats. The rear seat locks into position and is completely removable for maintenance access. By leaving it off it is easy to access the passenger grips which can hold quite a bit just by tie wrapping a base to the grips and modifying the base to carry whatever you need to carry.

    Carrying a radio controlled plane

If you noticed I have the main wing at a slightly negative angle of attack to prevent me from going airborne:yikes: . Actually, it's an attempt to reduce stresses on the airframe.

    Carrying a radio controlled plane

My other hobby is flying r/c aircraft. I wanted the option of carrying a plane to the local park on the spyder. This is what I came up with. I tested it this morning and it worked well. I haven't gone faster than 35mph with the plane on board. The plane might self destruct going faster.

USER NAMES/HANDLES - What does yours mean? Where did it come from?

Someone coined me "WackyDan" once many years ago. I think I got on the Internet circa, 1993 and that is essentially what my handle has been since then... *Mower deck in development* Wacky Dan When I first showed my wife a video of the spyder she couldn't stop laughing and thought it looked...
