• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tell me your bug stories, I know you got one

Once I lived in a condo and had to keep my motorcycle outdoors with a rain cover. I was riding about 40 mph when a large black spider crawled into my helmet face shield. It must have been living under the rain cover. I lifted the face shield and swatted it out before it could bite.

    Cup Holders

I have the SRT cupholder (SpyderLovers sponsor) for my 2013 RT. It mounts without removing any screws from the Spyder and has an accessory bar to which I mount my gps.

    Black Motorcycle Club

Alot of that goes on at Daytona Bike week and Spring Break in Florida. Young people white or black are always finding ways to annoy their parents just like we did as kids.

A bit more respect for Tupperware!?

I think the tupperware does help to manage heat. I do not have any heat complaints with our Spyder. My v twin cruiser was hot.

    Combining our Favorite Things

Good looking combination. Saw a guy pulling his golf cart behind his scooter.

    Bad Saleman

Try your approach of trading for a new Spyder. They took the bike back from somebody who owned it before you with the known defect. There is always small claims court and NHTS for safety defects. Also notify BRP.

    Bad Saleman

Salesmen who will lie to make a sale are all too common in the auto and mc business.

    GPS Question ???

I use the Garmin Nuvi 40 in an Arkon gps case attached to the SRT mugholder accessory bar. Dealer is installing a 12v outlet in place of the left analog gauge. The outlet will also power my handheld Cobra cb radio.

    Slide out safety card DIY?

BRP put the safety card on the slideout so they wouldn't have to put the safety stickers on the tank as other brands must per government regulations. Having to push the mode button is a reminder of the info on the safety card before you ride. I like the idea.

Spyder cousin....but kit is installed on a Goldwing

I think a purpose built trike like the spyder has better engineering potential than any trike conversion kit front or back. And cheaper too.

    2013 RTS stalling problem

When new, our 2013 RT often stalled after idling a few minutes. After 1000 miles very rarely.

    Senile or just confused

It takes 500 to 1000 miles to get used to how the Spyder handles. Took me 700 miles now I am happy. I ride in a senior citizen motorcycle club in Florida and one of our new members on a Harley hit a patch of gravel on a curve and went down. Broken ribs that will take time to heal at our age. A...

What are the odds? BRP Focus Group at Owner's Event.

I commend BRP for the focus group and your participation. Re the Goldwing, the Spyder has only 10 horsepower less than the GW1800 , but has a faster 0 to 60 time , 4.5 sec vs 4.7 sec for the GW1800 (two wheel). The Spyder 0 to 60 time is faster than almost all those heavy cruisers with the big...

    Disapointment With BRP Owners Event

I agree a technical seminar on basic maintenance an owner is expected to do like check fluids and tire pressure would be beneficial to everyone including dealers and BRP. It would be great to be able to do these on actual Spyders under the instruction of BRP. Reading a manual or watching a...
