• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RTS Juice Box Pro

I've got a '10 RTS. Just installed green filter and JBP. Exhaust is stock. Once able to get all 10 of my thumbs functioning in unison to get everything installed, it all works very nicely. There is an RT JBP model. Make sure you get that one. Got my JBP from JC Motors for $257 delivered...

Motorcycle "Safety" Check Points on way to Daytona

Seems the safety inspection angle could be legit...though a load of doo-doo. However, if they find nothing wrong, I doubt they have sufficient probable cause to search the bike. Basic probable causes are odor (booze/smoke), plain sight (bong riding pillion), and furtive gesture (acting like...

Aborted Juice Box Pro install on my RTS

So I got a small ride in around town. I think I like the new addition. I say "think" because I want the darned thing to work after all the trouble it's given me. There may be some self fulfilling prophecy going on. Only fair to admit that. That said, it feels like the throttle is smoother...

Aborted Juice Box Pro install on my RTS

Don't be afraid Bob. Seemed like a good night's sleep may have been very helpful with the install as well. If *I* can do it, ANYONE can do it. I am TERRIBLE at mechanical stuff. When I had it hooked up to Top Tune, I did find what I thought to be zero points were actually a tick off...

Aborted Juice Box Pro install on my RTS

AMEN! I got it in! I had a pair of Kelly forceps laying around (didn't even know I borrowed these from work) and did the job perfectly! Thanks for the curved tip plier tip! It was pretty smooth sailing after that. Grounding wire was a bit of a bear. Thank goodness there was an appropriate...

Got the turd in. Amen. Thanks for everyone's encouragement.

    Failing Green Filter installation

My bad...nomenclature was misstated. It's three clips I undid per manual. Undid those "tipped the cover out". SOB won't tip back. Ugh...

    Failing Green Filter installation

SWEET MOTHER'S MILK I GOT THE SOB IN!!! ..... This machine is so NOT the bike to learn to wrench on. I'm about ready to kick of the E-brake, straighten the bars, and push it out into the street in front of a large truck. Maybe then I could get to parts and pieces I'm supposed to be able to...

Aborted Juice Box Pro install on my RTS

Oh how I cussed. I thought how bloody difficult can it be to unplug stuff and plug it back in. Turns out...unlike everyone else in the world... it's a pain in the butt. I was cussing like Ralphie's dad in the Christmas Story when he was working on the furnace. Queen mothers filled the air...

    BEST WARRANTY Questions

The BEST warranty can be used at any BRP dealer right? Could you buy it at a dealer willing to sell cheap in Florida, and use it at a local, say Las Vegas dealer? Of course the local dealer won't be thrilled, but with my dealer, I don't really care. Taking it to them is a crap shoot. Mind as...

    rear tire replacement - fail

I imagine there is a repository of all the service bulletins on here. Someone willing to show me the way to nirvana?

Watch your speed going through Illinois

Love me some autobahn drivin'. Camping in the left lane is a ticketable offense. It is truly the passing lane. You will get pulled over driving in the left lane and there not be car you are actively overtaking. Soooooo unlike Vegas. Would love to get the Spyder out on the Nurburgring track...

changing rts 2010 front shocks to 2011 shocks

I resemble larger folks (220-250#). With the fronts set on 5, even one up feels mushy to me. Add a PAX and the outside tire on a turn seems to melt and the inner tire fills with helium, longing to free itself from mother asphalt. I'd like to tighten things up up front. May make a run to the...

changing rts 2010 front shocks to 2011 shocks

$30 tool would easily pay for itself, especially when my local shop's labor is $90 an hour.

changing rts 2010 front shocks to 2011 shocks

Am seriously considering doing the same thing. Looking at the parts fiches, the only difference between the '10 and the '11 is the shock body. However, looking at the shop manual, there is some crazy looking shock tool shown for working with the shocks. It's got me freaked out to attempt it...

    2 borthers juice box?

Just ordered a JB Pro for my 2010 RTS for $257 w/ free shipping from JC Motors. Hope to heck it's as plug and play as they claim and that it's an as noticeable of a difference as everyone says because I'm a ten thumbed mechanic. Wanted to buy it the same place as a Green Filter, but for $257...

    Anyone near Hattiesburg, MS?

You gotta be talking about the Shed on I-10 east of Ocean Springs. Good stuff if it's still there after Katrina. Used to be stationed at Keesler. Spent a bunch of time up at Camp Shelby training medical readiness. Probably spent too much time at Oscar Limas (Outer Limits) while there too...

    Cheap Communication

My wife and I enjoy our Sena headsets. Really nice. Can pipe in cell phone and MP3 player by bluetooth too. Pair up to four headsets. MP3 can also connect by included wire as well. REVIEW: http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-intercoms/sena-smh10-intercom/ The pair goes for about $280...

    Sneak Peak- PowerSportsWraps.com

Yeah, something Air Force would look sweet on my Orbital Blue RTS. Sadly, the only thing I have that matches my bike is my AF PT gear.
