• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Instrument/Gauge Lens Issue

I understand the real world necessity of warranty limitations, but I'd at least try to have a conversation with BRP about it. It may not change the result but, in light of the fact that this has been a repetitive problem for many over a long period of time, I think that those affected should be...

    Instrument/Gauge Lens Issue

I haven't ridden as many miles this season (yet) as I normally do, but so far mine has stayed clear since the dealer last cleaned it and applied the dielectric silicone in the Spring. I still recommend that those who have this problem, and who still have warranty coverage, see their dealer so...

    Trunk Liners

I have both the BRP and the Hopnel liners. Although both work just fine, if I had to choose one over the other I'd pick the Hopnel ones, because I think they're a better value.

does anyone have a good one?

I've had a few issues (relatively minor but still annoying) but, on balance, I still think that the Spyder is a really good machine. I'd buy another one.

    CORBIN VS ULTIMATE SEATS

There was a thread here not too long ago regarding wide ranging problems with Corbin's customer service, and a number of people weighed in with their own negative experiences. Based on those comments and reviews I would not buy a Corbin product.

    WI SOAR Rendezvous

My wife and I might ride up again for a day trip. Did that last year and enjoyed ourselves.

    Mirror Problem

No, I didn't have to leave mine. I rode in and showed them the issue, they ordered a new turn signal assembly, and then they called me when it was in.

    Mirror Problem

I had that same issue last year, and it was replaced under warranty.

    Instrument/Gauge Lens Issue

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you haven't had a repeat. By the way, 'drooling' is a great way to describe this problem.

    Instrument/Gauge Lens Issue

Thanks for the information. Since my dealer last cleaned and applied the dielectric silicone in the Spring, I haven't had the problem. It's too soon to declare victory, however.

    No Customer Service Corbin

Thanks to everyone who weighed in on this. I've been tempted in the past to go with Corbin but always wound up with Mustang seats. Based on what I've read here I won't even be tempted to go with Corbin in the future.

    Around Lake Michigan

I've done this trip twice. Take your time so that you can check out the many small towns along the way, hug the lake as close and as often as you can, enjoy the trip across the Mackinac Bridge, spend a day on Mackinac Island, and as the summer season gears up you'll need to look for and secure a...

    Rivco Customer Service Came Through

Glad to hear this about Rivco. They are not too far from me, so I rode up and had the owner do my highway peg installation early last year. I also know many riders who buy various accessories from them. Based on my experience, and what I've heard from others, Rivco is a top flight operation.

    God Bless Americat

I did, for the second year in a row. I think it's an outstanding tribute, and once again it reminded me that there is still a grateful and patriotic spirit alive out there.

    GPS

The short answer is 'no', but if it makes you feel better to put a raincoat on it go ahead. I have used weatherproof rated Garmin products outdoors in all conditions for years with no problems.

Thanks. If I have to work my way up the BRP food chain I"ll need reinforcements.

    Instrument/Gauge Lens Issue

For a couple of reasons not related to my dealer, I was not able to get the new lens installed after the prescribed cleaning before Winter. I had it done in March and, in addition to the cleaning (that turns out to be with soapy water), my dealer put a little dielectric silicone around the...

    Dust Hub?

They're missing from many Spyders out there, apparently with no harm being done. I figured, however, that they provide some degree of protection so I affixed mine using a little black silicone.

    Microsoft exchange scam

If you have a VoIP phone service, you might be able to set up and use a totally free service called NOMOROBO @ www.nomorobo.com. I read about and researched this, and decided to give it a try. It snags and blocks 99% of telemarketing calls on the first ring (based on an ever increasing database...
