• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Why We Live Where We Do

Of all the places in "SoCal", I think we like San Diego and area the best. LA has some neat stuff but is just... too much. Daughter lived in Pasadena for about a year and was glad to move back to Phoenix. Speaking of San Diego, I am going to be there in a couple of weeks for 3 days for work...

Why We Live Where We Do

I would like to think we should be able to keep this fun and lighthearted. No reason to poke at other peoples experiences or views. I was reading thru the California Straw thread and found it interesting. Not the law or straws or whatever, but the discussions about where we live. People are...

    F3 limited vs RT

I'm 5'10" and my passenger is 5'2". The RT fits us well. We could not adjust the passenger foot rest for her to comfortably reach on the F3. The RT at it's highest setting is perfect and takes pressure of her legs.

Wind Shield options for HOT weather riding

Operation Cool(er) Ride begins Well, I guess I didn't need to wait "all winter" before making a decision. I had an informational conversation with Mr. Frank and it was all I needed to pull the trigger. We are going to go with a tinted, 22" sport, stock width with the vent. This will be the...

Wind Shield options for HOT weather riding

PMK, I have been to humid areas and to be honest, I would much rather be here in 115 plus than there at 90. Maybe you get used to the humidity but in AZ, evaporation really works in our favor to help keep us cool(er). My hat is off to you and everybody in those humid climates... Back to the...

Wind Shield options for HOT weather riding

Thanks guys. I know it is a fools errand to try to be "comfortable" in 100 plus temps but I am just trying to get every possible trick working in our favor. We do have mesh jackets and we are going to incorporate more use of a spray bottle/wet helmet liners and towels meant for cooling under...

Wind Shield options for HOT weather riding

So far it seems like a vented wind screen is the way to go along with some air wings. We already have the vented jackets. I had not thought about carrying a spray bottle of water. We will give that as try ASAP.

Wind Shield options for HOT weather riding

First some background. We live in Phoenix, AZ and it is HOT. We are ATGATT riding a '17 RT-S It is not uncommon to see 113F and more on the dash readout. Sitting in stop and go traffic on the freeway can get a bit toasty and it is still hot once we get moving. I am asking for opinions regarding...

    Tires General Altimax Opservation

Not a tire for the Spyder but it is Science First, as a newbie, I find this whole conversation funny as heck. Both sides convinced they are on the correct side. I will be the first to admit I have not done any testing nor have I been to any school, however, I have done a lot of related...

    Phoenix Metropolitan Area

Hello, New Spyder RT-S owner here. I was wondering if there are any riding groups in or about the Phoenix area. Is there anybody on here that organizes any rides or is it mostly done thru FaceBook? If FaceBook, any links to groups anybody would like to share? Thanks in advance and have a great...

    Here ya go

So is this a "motorcycle" or is this, for all intent and purposes, a 4 wheeler/cage without the cage? In Arizona, 2 and 3 wheel vehicles get to use High Occupancy Vehicle lane. This includes the slingshot which could be argued, based on how you sit in it, is more of a car than the 4 wheeled...

    Safety Gear

Phoenix AZ - Several days last week, according to the thermometer on the Spyder, it was 115-118 going down the freeway. I was sporting a modular helmet, leather palmed gloves, a Dainese mesh jacket with full armor, jeans and leather boots. Was it hot? You betcha. :bbq: Uncomfortable? Of...
