• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Brake mod on Seal Floorboard

I put a set of Seal boards on my RS and I truly love them, but I wasn't pleased with the asthetic's of the brake pedal supplied don't get me wrong ot works great I just didn't like how it looked. Well I had a Big Brake Pedal left over so I thought I would do a little homemade engineering and I...

    Issue with my Seal floorboards

As a final note to this issue, I resorted to making my own shifter to replace the one I received from Seal, now this is not to say that their's doesn't work, I just decided to engineer my own. I started with a piece of 10mm square steel bar, then had the actual arms made by a machine shop and...

    Maybe a dumb?

    Maybe a dumb?

This may sound kinda dumb, but I've taken off all the lower panels on my 2012 RS SM 5 and I can't find any crankcase oil drain plug. In my shop manual there is no mention of a crank case oil drain, but everything else to change the oil to remove the crankcase oil plug after draining the oil...

    heel toe shifter for RS?

Yup, I did some mods to the shifter, like welding a couple of very small pieces of 18ga steel to it and using about 6 washers to space the connection to the bikes shift arm. I'm not real sure how long it will last and I hate having to carry a tool box with me and doing roadside repairs!!

    heel toe shifter for RS?

Anyone know if a heel toe shifter for the RT will fit an RS? I need to find some type of heel toe shifter to use on my RS with Seal floorboards, I had to do some mods on the Seal shifter, but am a little leery that it won't hold up. I'm thinking of getting a set of shifters (made for a Harley)...

    Issue with my Seal floorboards

Finally got the shifter to work. It took me welding some small strips of 18 ga. steel to the back and the top on the piece that goes into the star and then I put about 7 or 8 washers on the screw between the shift linkage and the shifter and a larger washer on the back side. It seems to work...

    Issue with my Seal floorboards

Thanks Al, I'm not exactly sure what you did based on the pics. What I think I'm going to try is to bend the front part of the shifter where the bolt and large washer go and then fab up a small piece of of stock steel to go onto the lever where it goes into the star of the shift linkage. Mine...

    Issue with my Seal floorboards

Just got my seal boards and am having a problem with the shifter (2012 RS SM5). It very very difficult to shift into 1st. and reverse as well as down shifting, I have to put my toes between the plastic and the shifter and literally have to slam the shifter backwards to get it to move. Also as a...

    New turn signals

I replaced the stock signals with some after market LED's due to a broken post on one of the stock. They are somewhat smaller than stock, have a circle of red LED's which come on with the lights and a yellow LED in the center which flashes with the turn signal. I used the stock mounting bolt...

    Ride with pet

My Lab rides on the back seat of my ATV just around our property. On road trips longer than 30 minutes we have to medicate her for her "anxiety". I would love to take her on my RS, but won't take the chance of her being injured. I like the trailer idea but I'd have to find one big enough for my...
