• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What should I have serviced, 2013 RT with 3,200 miles

Thanks guys,, something I'd forgotten in the 3 years since last driving my Spyder.. ...when making plans to go to town, I have to anticipate spending an extra HOUR chatting with the folks in the parking lots whom ask questions and are ogling over the Spyder!!!!

What should I have serviced, 2013 RT with 3,200 miles

Picked my Spyder RT up from having full service and 2 recalls performed this morning from the Can Am dealer near Atlanta and took it for a 50 mile ride to check it out. All went well and the temperature gauge never exceeded 50% even though was 90* outside this afternoon. Thank you for your...

2022 RTL upper-rear storage -vs- 2013 RT storage

Wow, the 20-22 RTL upper box appears so much wider than my 2013's.. but $5k is a lot of cash. (I doubt I'll ever carry passengers) Is any after-market company offering any upper-rear storage box for the 2020-22 RT ?

2022 RTL upper-rear storage -vs- 2013 RT storage

I've not been to a Spyder dealer in long while and I live 3 hours away from my closest, so I haven't physically seen the newer RTL model with the detachable upper-rear storage box and I'm curious to it's internal shape and capacity. Most of the jaunts in my '13 Spyder RT were short trips to the...

    Riding Spyder on gravel roads???

There’s a number of YouTube video’s showing longtime Spyder owners driving around and having fun on gravel roads, probably some are members here. I occasionally rode my ‘13 RT Spyder on gravel roads when I vacationed in Cape Vincent, NY without problems. Just last week I brought my Spyder here...

What should I have serviced, 2013 RT with 3,200 miles

Load tested my battery today and it's putting out between 300 and 320 cold cranking amps. Looking online at the specs for replacement batteries, they're advertising 170 to 350 CCA's.. so apparently my battery is within range  I closely inspected the tires and the belt when the Spider was...

What should I have serviced, 2013 RT with 3,200 miles

Yes my 2013 has that voltage block, it's what my charger cable is connected to and what I eluded to earlier when I said pigtail :coffee: I drove this Spyder RT many miles on gravel roads in Cape Vincent, NY without problems.. normal driving, not slinging gravel. My gravel roads outside my...

I hear ya but I live 2 miles out a dead-end gravel road, so forced to drive 4 miles on them to go anywhere and return home, LOL !!

What should I have serviced, 2013 RT with 3,200 miles

I replaced the battery I believe in 2018 or 2017 but yes, I will load test it if I can do it from the pigtail, otherwise I recall accessing the battery requires some disassembly

What should I have serviced, 2013 RT with 3,200 miles

Sorry for the confusion, I was going from memory when I originally posted this topic saying it was a 2014 but I later noticed my signature and forum join date was summer of 2013,, therefore realized I goofed, LOL !! I wanted to have the oil and filter changed so I could putt around by end of...

What should I have serviced, 2013 RT with 3,200 miles

I bought my 2013 RT new and had it back to dealer for the first, "after break-in service" at around 200 or 300 miles, no other service performed that I can recall since 2014 and it now has 3,200 miles on the odo. It's been sitting on a battery tender since October 2018 because we haven't been...

Trimmed 3-inches from top of windshield today, Thank You SpyderLovers !!

In lieu of spending $300+ on a 23" windshield that would still be too tall for me, thanks to what I've read here on SpyderLovers (Tonga and others) I went the Blue masking tape, JigSaw and Sandpaper route. Living in the boondocks here in NNY I generally ride in the country and so like the wind...
