• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Handle bar risers used with mirror extension

Has anyone tried bar-end mirrors? I imagine that would work.

    question about shocks...

I'm about 130 and I still went to 4 on the front shocks. I can't even imagine using 1 or 2. I'm actually considering going up to 5.

    NMN risers yay or nay??

I'm 5'3 and I like the risers quite a bit so far. The only disadvantage is that I think I'm going to need the mirror extenders since the mirrors now show me a very good view of my hands. I'm still playing with the position of the bars a bit though, so maybe I can fix that a bit more.

    risers installed...he heheheheh

I had trouble with the reverse cable too. And with my wonderful luck, I dropped the reverse switch while I was struggling with everything and it fell right down into the Spyder. I had to remove a little extra bodywork to fish it back out. All the other cables were fairly easy to move around.

    Passenger info requested

I'm about 130 and my husband is about 210 and I have no problem with him on the back. Have her go nice and easy in the corners the first few times. It feels a bit different, but you get used to it fast. And definitely make sure set the shocks for the extra weight. It makes a huge difference...

    Beka's Spyder

Hopefully, my husband will be ready for his own Spyder in my lifetime. He went for his learner's permit and failed the test. All but 3 questions were about the various penalties for driving offenses for minors. Since he's not a teenager, he really didn't pay much attention to that stuff. Oh...

    Beka's Spyder

I'd love for my husband to decide to get his own. I can take corners a lot faster without having him on the back.

Possible alternative to BRP knee pads

Yeah, I'll need to check where my knees hit too. They sell sheets that you can cut as well, so I think I could make things work either way. The sticky sheets of foam sounded interesting, but I think I'd rather not deal with glue.

Possible alternative to BRP knee pads

I just found this tank protector kit: http://www.techspec-usa.com/products/gs_brp.html I like that it can supposedly be moved around pretty easily. I'm thinking about giving it a try. Has anyone ever used this stuff?

    Too short for a Spyder?

5'3" here and the Spyder fits great. Definitely go sit on one and see if you feel comfortable and do a demo ride if you can. I even ride with my husband on the back and I love not having to worry about balancing the combined weight.

    Beka's Spyder

I had a busy weekend. I didn't relocate the alarm yet since I'm not 100% sure where I'm moving things, but I got a lot of other mods done. First off, thanks to MM for getting the HID kit shipped insanely fast. And bjt, you were completely right. These lights are great. I can see them...
