• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 Electric Concept Vehicle

Actually, the electric bikes do have those sounds. I've ridden the a Zero and a Victory. Here's a little more information about the project: https://ceo.ca/@newswire/cta-presents-can-am-spyder-electric-concept-vehicle We should be excited about any electric vehicle projects and this...

Who rides their F3-S without a windshield?

There are a lot of variables when it comes to wind shield design and function. This is why people have different feedback on the same shields. Buffeting is turbulent air. In all my research and testing, either go small for clean air at the helmet or go big. Typically a shield that has a...

    How smooth are spyders

I would agree with all of the above, a Spyder will likely be the smoothest open air transportation you can find. Which model specifically, well you'd really need to ride them to see. Some say the F3/cruiser with feet forward puts more pressure on the back, others say the opposite. The F3 seat...

    Is this tire pluggable?

Should never plug the sidewall of a street tire. I would make an exception to get off the side of the road to a shop but not as a perm fix. https://www.kaltire.com/why-cant-you-repair-tires-with-a-punctured-sidewall/ I've run a plug on a few Jeep tires right at the edge of the tread and just...

    Helmet Buffeting

Looked at the pictures posted again. Try adding some space between the visor and shield to get more air flow between them.

    Helmet Buffeting

The buffeting comes from wind turbulence. In all my testing, the result is either go big or small, but anything in the middle usually just makes things worse. Well fitting helmet will help but depending on the type and amount of turbulence this is likely minimal. For safety, helmet should fit...

Hello Spyder Lovers Family, Update for Bytemi and Little Bytemi

Thanks Adele. I'll definitely let her know. As with many diseases it takes time to figure out what works best for each person.

Hello Spyder Lovers Family, Update for Bytemi and Little Bytemi

Hi Bytemi. I am new around here so nice to meet you. My wife was diagnosed last year. Her mom also had m.s. so not sure she was all that surprised. It has been tough to see her lose some of her abilities, mostly the thinking. She's been unable to do her technical job and out on leave. She...

    Handlebar RAM mount.

You didn't say how much cheaper you were looking for. Quick search on Ebay I found it $80 cheaper: http://www.ebay.com/sch/sis.html?_nkw=NEW+CAN+AM+SPYDER+RS+GPS+SUPPORT+BLACK+219400331&_trksid=p2047675.m4100 Then I searched for it on Google and led me to even cheaper on Amazon...

    Florida motorcycle insurance rates

Progressive in FL: 288 for a year, without uninsured motorist. The Spyder costs twice as much as my Buell. I want to say it was 2000+ more with uninsured motorist when we had our 2 motorcycles and I haven't checked lately.

    GS vs F3

We can give a lot of feedback but most people will agree everyone is a bit different and the only way to really know is to ride them for yourself. I bought a used RS. It already had adjustable bars and I added a comfort seat (set me back and with bars I have the same position as a ST minus...

Love it but tired of problems: cooler, engine, and now clutch - do I have a lemon?

I think the most important point here is you should be happy and comfortable so you can ride your spyder. Purchasing the extended warranty is probably a given. I've read it really saved several people ($50 deductible for a new engine). If you are unsure about the reliability, trade it on a...

Jacket or No Jacket in Hot Weather - Which is Cooler?

Mesh jacket with sports tshirt or polo or heat out top, mesh gloves, and full helmet. I wore a heat out beanie in old helmet but new one is not broke in enough yet. I wear sunblock often here in FL but i find it often makes me hotter. Guess it blocks some of the sweating. Mesh jacket, gloves...

Windshields: Sport vs. Sport Touring vs. Ultra Touring

Mine was used and came with the 23 or 25 ultra touring shield. The buffeting was so bad my ears hurt in a full helmet with ear plugs. I ended up with a 26 madstad. I really like the adjustability. Mark and Blair were great to work with. There is a shield on ebay that is 2 piece where to top...

    riding in the heat

Cyclegear, Revzilla, etc. They range from $80 on up to $500. http://www.cyclegear.com/BILT-IRON-WORKERS-Steel-Motorcycle-Jeans Read the reviews though. Some fit differently than regular jeans so definitely need to try them on locally or buy from somewhere that has a good exchange policy.

    Air compressors/tire inflators

Cannot help on the digital gauge but rarely have i seen an accurate gauge on a compressor. I always compare to a good hand gauge for calibrating. My hand gauge has a push button deflector so can let a little air out at a time. People seem to love the remote air monitoring system mentioned here...

    riding in the heat

I agree, wear what you want, just no whining about road rash. A kid i work with wouldn't buy any gear so when i got a new jacket i gave him my old joe rocket mesh. He laid his bike down a few months later wearing a full helmet, mesh jacket, jeans and running shoes. rash to the bone on hands...

    riding in the heat

I also find my mesh jacket cooler in most cases than without. It blocks the sun from the skin. Some mesh jackets cool better than others. I had a Joe Rocket previously and now have a Bilt because it is one of the few in medium tall. It fits so much better and flows decent amount of air but...
